These charcoal toothbrushes last a long time without the bristles getting flattened. I love the look and feel of the heavy metal handle. The only problem is you can't get replacement charcoal heads. I keep buying the whole thing because I love the heads on these but it defeats the purpose of having replacement heads.

I like the handle, that's really about it. I normally use a RADIUS which has a huge head and soft bristles.This Deep Cleaning one is has fairly hard bristles and the head is pretty small. I can't say that it cleans better than my RADIUS but I use both. I don't think it does any better unless harder bristles means "deep clean".So overall, handle has nice premium feel, brush heads not so much.I would effectively rate this 3 stars but the harder bristles does feel like it will last longer.I'm about 2 months in use and bristles still seems good.

I've been looking for just the replacement heads and this is all I can find! I love the feel and weight of it. I wish I could just find the replacement heads.

I love this toothbrush. The Optic White brush head cleans very well, the best toothbrush I've used. I have been buying the regular non-replaceable ones for years. The side bristles for cleaning the gums is a great bonus.The metal handle has some weight to it compared to the traditional plastic handles but this doesn't bother me. The metal handle design offers a nice grip to it and doesn't slip with water and toothpaste on the handle.The brush head stays on the handle pretty well and doesn't feel like it would fall off. It's also pretty easy to just pull straight out and pop off to replace the brush head. The plastic used for the brush head is softer and more brittle than a traditional toothbrush as this was made with less plastic.While I love this replaceable toothbrush head, there is a semi-strong unpleasant plastic odor and taste to it. Since the brush head goes in the mouth to brush teeth (obviously lol), I'm left wondering if this plastic is non-toxic.If there was no plastic odor, I would have given it 5 stars.Edit: July 20. After using this brush for days, I noticed that in order to get close to the same clean feeling I get from the regular non-replaceable heads with a slightly different brush style, I would need to apply more pressure while brushing. I usually don't brush too hard but with this replaceable head, I can't get the same level of cleanliness with the same amount of pressure. The idea of the single row side bristles for the gums is a good one but impractical as it's weaker being a single row and that it dowsnt clean your teeth as well. And when you apply too much pressure for a better clean, it hurts your gums. You just can't win with this brush. I will be going back to what works best for me. It's too bad that I won't be able to use tyese replaceable brushes.

This toothbrush is fabulous! I originally bought it in a retail store but unfortunately can no longer find it there. My gums have improved significantly due to the ultra soft bristles and the weighted handle. I have better control and that prevents me from hitting my gums and teeth with the brush head. The replacement brush head is an added bonus! Please give it a try and Colgate please continue to sell this toothbrush!!!
