Description
- Casting powder as a supplement without moulding powder available to order
- 1000 g high-quality casting powder. This is an extra-hard ceramic casting compound with a very smooth porcelain-like surface. The very easy-to-cast, gypsum-like compound cures to solid, snow-white 3D-impressions.
- Especially suitable for 3D-moulds of hand impressions because of its extremely fine moulding accuracy. The artworks produced with our casting powder are characterised by an extremely hard and solid - also abrasion-resistant surface - and material structure.
- Our casting compound is modified on the basis of phosphates in combination with natural gypsum and therefore classified in terms of toxicology and physiology as a safe design material. That is precisely why it is used not only in kindergartens and schools but also by professional craftspeople.

Instructions for use: add 1 part water and 4 parts casting powder to a container and stir to a viscous, pulpy mass. Immediately after stirring, pour it into the mould and allow it to set for at least 3 hours. 4:1 (powder to water), 1000 g of powder yields about 600 ml of casting compound. Calculation of materials needed: volume of mould in ml x 1.54 = material requirement in g. For 100 ml volume, you will need 150 g of casting powder and 37.5 g of water. These works of art when set can also be decorated and painted with almost all colours and varnishes. When using water-based paints, the models must first be painted with a thin base coat suitable for casting compounds. This seals the fine-pored surface. This is not necessary if you are able to wait at least a week for the model to dry out completely.
