Easy to install and excellent value
As my Xperia is getting on a bit I was looking for a cheap replacement screen protector. The reviews make this one look like a bit of a gamble but, having just applied it, I can assure you it isn't and I felt compelled to share my experience. Alignment was easy and the material is thin enough that you can work out any trapped air with the card provided, which isn't usually that easy. Even the issue one buyer had with a line remaining after application is not a problem if you work the card over it for a half a minute. Top tip, it's worth applying any protective screen outside so that you don't have an issue with trapping dust. Screen quality seems totally unaffected to me.

Amazing product
Amazing product. Attaching the top part first makes it so easy. I did mine in 2 minutes, no bubbles , looks clear in all lights and touch screen seems better. Will definitely use again on family phones.

Almost Perfect
There is a lot to like about this screen-protector for the Sony Xperia XZ1. For starters, it is very affordable, delivery was quick and it comes with a bundle of useful accessories. But there are some (minor) flaws which prevented me from giving it a full 5 stars. Still, 4 stars is a very good recommendation.Even though modern smartphones come with hardened, scratch-resistant glass, I do not fully trust those claims, especially when I have just forked out 100s of pounds for the latest device. So I always end up buying a screen-protector for my shiny new toy. The first one I bought had a 9H-hardness grading, and yes, it was super-tough, it probably would have deflected a bullet. But because of the slightly curved screen on the Xperia XZ1 that particular screen-protector did not stick to the edges of the device, so it looked very shabby and un-cool when applied. Then I got this scratch-protector from TechGear, and I was immediately impressed with the amount of useful accessories in the box. There is a detailed description of how to install the protector, there is an anti-static dust cloth, a credit card sized air-bubble remover with a soft edge so not to scratch the protector, several stickers to remove dust particles from the screen prior to application and there are even two wet cleaning cloths if you should need them.Screen protectors I bought in the past always had a two-way application process. You had to remove the first cover to stick it on to the screen. Then, when you are happy with the positioning of the protector and removed all the air-bubbles, you strip off the second film to reveal the final product. This new screen-protector from TechGear actually has 3 steps for application. The first cover is divided into two parts. The first, much smaller part at the top, is removed and stuck on to the phones face for positioning. Make sure the cut-outs for earpiece and front-camera line up perfectly. Then, when you are happy, you remove the lower, much larger part of the cover to stick the rest of the protector on to the phone’s surface. Because of this 2-part first step there is a very good chance that you apply the protector in exactly the right position. It is so annoying when you have to peel off the protector and retry several times until you get it right. Once you are happy you squeeze out any trapped air-bubbles with the supplied soft-edge plastic card. And finally, you remove the second (or third in this case) layer of the over to reveal the final product. So far so good. So where are the faults, you might ask. Well, there are not many, two actually to be precise. The first is because the first cover of the protector is split up into two parts for better positioning, the ever so tiny gap between those two parts is still visible after application. It does not ruin the entire look, and you cannot see it from afar. But it is there, a very, very fine line just underneath the Sony logo. The second flaw of the TechGear screen-protector for the Sony Xperia ZX1 is that it is not fully scratch-resistant. I found this out as I removed the final cover at the end of the process too early, when there were still a few air-bubbles left underneath. And when I used the plastic card to squeeze out those bubbles, even with its soft cloth edge, it left some tiny scratches on the protector. Again, not a big deal, as those scratches are really tiny, and one has to look very closely. But it just keeps me from giving this protector a perfect rating of 5 stars. Would I recommend it? Most certainly, YES. It is excellent value for money, and it does the job. What more could you want?

Techgear have a very short video on their website showing you what to do and very easy to follow
Contrary to some other reviews, it went on first time with no issues at all!! Techgear have a very short video on their website showing you what to do and very easy to follow!! First time i have used a TPU plastic cover before. Cannot even tell it is on the phone. Not a single air bubble or dust mark!!

Great Screen cover but an odd downside for polarised lens wearers!
Not the easiest to apply, but when you get it right they look and feel great. My problem with these is how they look when you look at them through polarised glasses or sunglasses. You see an odd brown discolouring of the screen - this isn't the screen, it's the material the adhesive layer of the screen cover is made from!If you get the cover on first time without any bubbles then this effect is minimal, but if you had to squeegee any bubbles out towards the edge the effect becomes very pronounced. Any the more you try to fix it the worse it gets. You can see the colour very slightly with the naked eye, but only if you're looking for it.Not using polarised glasses - then no problem. If you are - be aware!

Shockingly bad and what a waste of money.
Without a doubt the most horriblest screen protector I have ever came across in my entire life. They're absolutely horrible and they do not go on your phone. there an absolute nightmare and what a waste of money honestly. I think I'll just invest in a £10 glass screen protector rather than this waste of money. I had to wait even longer for it to be delivered to my house and when it comes you can even install it even when you watch the video. In other words they are absolutely rubbish and I would avoid them like the plague.

Defekte Folien
Beide Folien waren Defekt. Eine hatte einen Riss, die andere war geknickt. Der Verkäufer verweigerte eine Rückerstattung. Betrug am Kunden!
