Enjoyed (mostly) sleeping in this
It's been many MANY years since I went camping last, I'm thinking Girl Scouts back in the 70s, hubby did remind me that since we live 100% off grid I have lived like I'm camping in style for the last 10+ years, I'm quite used to sleeping colder than most other folk.I had a ladies retreat /camping trip coming up, primitive camping, and I had no sleeping bag. I knew the temps would be in the upper 30s to low 40s overnight, fires would be severely limited because of where we would be camping, so I needed a sleeping bag that would keep me warm, would be lightweight, I wanted down filling, and one that wouldn't break the bank. First thing I noticed about down sleeping bags is they are expensive! When I saw this sleeping bag, the price was right so I took a chance on it.It arrived quickly, I noted how compact it was, and how lightweight it was, something my fellow camp mates also noticed. I unpacked it for the first time at camp on my cot. It was more than long enough and large enough for me (I'm 5'4" and 200 lbs). I know enough about down to know that it compresses quite flat, to get the best insulative value, you need to fluff up the down, sort of like fluffing a pillow. It didn't seem to get much thicker, I just had to assume (read:hope) it was enough. The zipper worked fine for me, both inside and out, I read another reviewer who said there is a pocket inside of the bag for keys and such, I didn't know about that and never looked for it. The material inside and outside is nice, it's smooth inside so it's easy to slip in while fully clothed including my hiking boots, we were more or less outdoors and I wanted to be able to hit the deck running if necessary 😉. Being smooth inside also made it easier to turn over while in the bag.One thing I noticed, and it's strictly personal preference, I apparently don't care for the "mummy" style of sleeping bags, I like to be able to move my legs, I remedied that by not fully zipping up the bag the second night, I did have a military style green wool blanket to throw over the top to keep the drafts out since it wasn't zipped.I spent 2 nights sleeping in cold dry air and stayed comfortable, my fellow camp mates did complain about the cold especially first thing in the morning, I was toasty warm, but then again I'm used to sleeping cold, I have good sleeping clothes and use wool blankets to keep warm at home.I was able to get it rolled back up and stuffed into the compression bag with not much trouble. I really appreciate how compact and lightweight it is, it's also quite handsome both rolled up and in use.I would use this sleeping bag in all but the coldest temps, it worked fine for me in the high 30s/low 40s F, no wind and dry. I would love to find this same sleeping bag in a non-mummy style. I do look forward to using it for years to come.

Good to about 40 degrees
It's good down to about 40 degrees I'd normally don't buy mummy bags but I bought this one cuz it's really long I'm only five 7 and I got tons of room in it from head to toe it's got shoulder baffles and the reason why I bought it is because where the zipper runs up they put an extra piece of material so it won't snag is often trying to zip it up some of the baffles don't seem to have as much feeling as other baffles do so you might want to check that out on yours when you get it but other than that pretty nice bag

The bag itself is awesome. I've used it three times in 30-40F with no mat on ground and hammock. My only concern is the zipper as I'm not sure it is an actually YKK (it does say so on the actual zipper, but...). Regardless, there is not a double zipper (one inside and outside the bag) and it is very difficult to zip. Typically, about 3/4 the way, whether you're in the bag or not, it's a struggle, although entirely possible with a little love and caressing (make sure to talk nicely to it, otherwise she will not zip). Aside from this, I would probably prefer a zipper in the middle as opposed to the side, but, that's no biggie. The loft seems full, bag is breathable, and it does have a small pocket inside for your keys. There are some loops at the feet, which in case with hammock use, I bungie to carabiners for stationery reasons. Wish the same was true for the top (I use the draw string to lightly assist keeping it put).It is relatively lightweight, accurate to the description in all ways. Easy to get back in the bag, which I was very pleased with. With an improved zipper, this could be a very good alternative to a higher dollar bag. Oh, and btw, the camo pattern is great (hard to find a decent camo bag, which is what brought me to buy this). The bag, in every facet (save the zipper) gets 5 stars. But that zipper.....***UPDATE***I have used the bag another 20 or so times since my review. I am happy to say that the loft seems fuller than when I got it (which was never an issue, and, I do not keep the bag stored in the storage bag). Most importantly, the zipper seems to have "freed up" to some degree as it is working much better now. Do I believe it is the best zipper to ever zip? Nope. But, it zips better than before and has been proven too be strong, too (I have stretched the sides of the bag quiet hard to see how strong zipper/material is when zipped; I don't buy things to treat them like fine China). So, for the price and increasingly improved ergonomics, I will give this bag 5 stars, an improvement from the previous 4 stars due to a zipper.
