Off the top of my head, I'm going to guess at about 300 plus. The aircraft is very sturdy with metal reinforced landing gear and metal brace for the wing mechanism, which allows for the wings to be moved back and forth. There are also screws which hold together some of the main sub assemblies. The cockpit has decals for all the panels, but there are several after market kits available to upgrade to a better looking cockpit. I have built the kit several times. It is not a beginners kit, but it is not overly difficult either. Hope all this helps.

Are the jolly roger decals available (vfa-103)?

Yes in after market. Just do a google search or try Spruebothers.com or squadron.com.
