This does what it says on the tin and unlike many leading brands of data 'buttons' you can replace the battery on this one.The paper instructions were very terse. It was not obvious how or where to get the software onto your pc which you really want. Once I found the detailed YouTube video all became clear and the install and functionality were fine.It was also not clear from the sellers photo what cabling you need to connect to your computer. You don't need any it just plugs in like a regular data stick.

The software presentation could be better.

Produces .pdf with graph and table of readings without needing to open app.

This appears an accurate and simple logging thermometer. The resulting graph is simple to interpret.. what more could you ask for?The instruction manual is useless. To first time configure the time and date you need the software. This is not obvious nor in the manual. For Apple Macs you need to download from the AppStore: ElitechLog. ( Do not look for it on the Elitech website as that has loads of drivers you don't need.) Once you run the app the Logger will be recognised and you can change the time and sampling time.In use it is simple and the pdf log appears to view when plugged into a computer.

It's very simple to use. I checked it with its factory pre-set (a data point every 2 minutes) by setting it to record for several hours outside and inside the fridge. Once stopped, I plugged it in to the USB port and opened the auto-created PDF; all the data points were listed and the plotted graph was clear: my fridge isn't working properly. All fine so far. I had to download the software from the Website (the navigation could be clearer) to change the recording interval from 2 minutes. I checked the installed software on two Windows 10 computers; it didn't with one, but I found that was because of a software fault with that computer, not with the device, so I'd advise that others do the same. The software worked fine. It would be nice if you could set the interval using the two buttons on the device (the instructions weren't that good, frankly), but It's a neat little thing and well worth having.

Excellent. See how temperature varies through out the day or week or however long 32000 data points takes to fill.This gadget revealed we needed to address a 5 degree temperature difference between what the freezer said the temperature was and what the actual temperature was.As the gadget can be placed at different places around the fridge or freezer you can see if there are variations.Only quibble is that it at my obvious that you need to download software to read the device. And oddly there is no link to it in the documents supplied. A google search will find it though.

It was easy to use and demonstrate to pupils although the date was not in real time.

Set up went well and now checking on the effectiveness of the underfloor heating, it drops only one degree when off overnight, and less than that between one side and the other.
