Very popular sauce with British Forces in Germany. Great to see it over here

Being a German, though living in England for good, there are some traditional german foodstuffs I am missing over here. This was one of them but Hooorrrraaayyy it's now available on Amazon U.K.! I know Hela Curry Ketchup as long as I can think and it's definately the best german Curry Ketchup. In Hamburg where it's produced you find it in every Chips Shop since 50 years! What, I hear you say, Tomato Sauce on Chips??? Yup, that's northern german tradition and it's yummy!!! Of course the traditional german Currywurst (That's a massive grilled Sausage) is also served with it with Curry Ketchup and then Curry Powder sprinkled on top. However, me beeing Vegetarian I use it on my homemade Chips. It also makes a great dip if you mix 3 parts of Ketchup with one part of (sweet) Soy Sauce, Gomasio(sesame salt) and a pinch of chinese 5 spice. There are 4 different tastes of Hela Curry Ketchup available: mild, aromatic, hot and extra hot. My favourits are the last two. Now, beeing shiped from Germany the postage is quite high costing £7.29 per bottle, however if you buy four bottles the total postage is only around £8.60, which is fairly reasonable. Since Hela Ketchup usually has a shelf live of many years you do not need to worry about multible buy. Oh and last, but not least: The product is suitable for Vegetarians though maybe not for vegans since it contains sodium lactate which is a dairy product! The ingredients are: Tomato juice, sugar, dextrose, salt, curry (with mustard powder), pepper, paprika, chillies, cloves, spirit vinegar, modified starch (vegetable), acids: citric acid, thickening agent: guar gum, traganth, herbs (with celery), acidity regulator: sodium lactate, flavour enhancer: monosodium glutamate Try it on Chips, on Pizza (Polish tradition) or whatever tickles your fancy. But be aware you may become totally addicted to this gorgeous stuff! I freely admit that I am!

How did I survive without this sauce BRILLIANT

This particular one is the extra spicy curry ketchup and it tastes really good. Great with Bratwurst or any other sausages/ chicken and goes particularly well with cheese / sandwiches or toasties. If you find it too spicy then mix with some regular ketchup to tone it down. Highly recommended

It’s always great just wish it was cheaper 😉
