Works great with Cat5e & Cat6a Cables, avoid Flat Cat6.
So had two attemps with this. Used 15m Flat Cat6 cable which failed to send a signal. Tried another cable (as I had two of the same 15m flat cat6 cable) and that also failed. I wasn't sure what was the issue, so to narrow it down I tried a 2m cat5e cable. This worked, so I returned the cat6 cables and purchased a 15m Cat6a cable (not flat) from Kenable. This worked without issue. Both sound and video is in sync, between my TV & Projector. I can hear & see both and there's no lag. Tested with 720p, 1080p, 1440p & 4K 2160p, all worked and in sync. Just get the write cable, make sure you set the EDID (HDMI In) before you connect the receiver end (HDMI out) and check for the green LEDs.

Works well over 20m CAT6, but make sure to use the EQualisation feature
After reading some of the reviews, I was cautious about this, an expecting hiccups. But the video TX and IR relay seem to work well over 20m of CAT6. Initially, the display showed speckling noise on saturated colours, but the line equalisation cured this. Equally, a test setup on a short cable did not work until equalisation was done. So, my main criticism of the product is that the tiny manual does not make the importance of using the recessed EQ button on the receiver clear enough. Also, the 2.5mm IR jacks need to be fully seated, and the self-adhesive on the IR sender is inadequate. But, other than that, at the moment the sender is working flawlessly over 20m, with no visible loss of image quality.

Rock solid, after a bit of fettling
Installed easily and worked first time. The power over Ethernet feature is brilliant, meaning you only need power at the sender end, not the receiver end. Rock solid picture that never once dropped out. However, after a day or so the remote IR sender stopped working. I reconnected everything and it worked again, but stopped after another day or so. It turns out that the 3.5" jack on the HDMI sender box for this wasn't getting a good connection and kept popping out ever so slightly. Try as I might, it wouldn't keep a good connection for very long. In the end I solved it by cutting a bit of the metal casing away to give better access. However, even with this necessity, this is a brilliant product for the price. Fully recommended.

Plug and Play HDMI extender
I had the requirement to change my existing HDMI extender setup (HDelity), due to poor performance and drop outs, causing intermittent frame blanking on the remote TV set. I had previously installed a link between my extension and the main lounge using a CAT5e cable routed externally of about 40m length (I only installed this at the time because I had a partial box of CAT5e cable available). Reading on the various claims from previously installed HDMI extenders they said they would work over CAT5e cable, but at a shorter distance that using CAT6 cable. In the end I became fed up with the poor performance of the existing ones I had tried. I was tempted to install a CAT6 cable, but was put off by the arduous route that I had to run it.I therefore was scanning the products on Amazon to see if I could find a replacement extender. I looked at many, some over the £100 mark. Then I came across the PWAY unit at only £39.99, with all of the features I thought it was too good to be true. Any way I thought it was worth a try and bought the units.I installed the transmitter unit in my extension, connected to the HDMI output on my HUMAX Freesat receiver (as photographed) and the bonus of having a HDMI splitter built into the unit plugged into my Samsung TV. At the remote end in the lounge I plugged in the receiver and because the devices support POE (power over ethernet), no PSU was required. When I switched on the receiver in the lounge I immediately received a superb picture on the LG TV. I positioned the IT receiver and clicked on the HUMAX remote, worked perfectly. The PWAY units have given me a rock steady performance since install nearly 2 weeks ago.Great product - really pleased with my purchase.

Works well, up to 22m, but unreliable much above 28m
Bought this to help with some livestreaming of an HDMI camera. Very simple to set up. Before we did livestreaming I performed a multitude of tests to make sure it was going to work. First off the advert says Cat 5e, but when you receive the product, it recommends CAT6. I tried it with Cat 5e cabling and got no further than about 10m before the picture quality became poor. Ordered in some Cat6 Unshilded UTP. Tried 3 different lengths, 22m, 28m, and 50m. It worked well with 22m, pretty much perfect audio and video. With 28m it was occasionally fine, but not robust, with sync problems and noisey pixel color distortions. That's despite trying the 0-30m-50m switch in both positions. The 50m cable would not work consistently at all, with either setting. My suspicion is that with Shielded CAT6 it would work, but I didn't have any of that stuff to test it with, and fortunately 22m just about got us the distance we needed. A good little product, pity the advert exagerates and set my expectations to high.

Does exactly what you need it to.. What more do you want!
I have just completed a loft conversion on my house with one of my daughters moving upstairs and the other remaining on the second floor. The issue I have is they share the Sky Q box between them. So I wanted a super easy way to get the tv signal from one room to the other. Over 10m and the HDMI starts to deteriorate so you are limited when like me I have 25m+ gap to fill.Amazingly I found these HDMI extender using Ethernet cable. I had a 30m cat 7 cable and tested it through that and bingo. Both tv's worked with the picture and it was flawless. After a couple of hours dropping the wire through the walls and pulling through the correct places I now have 1080p TV through two TV's 30meters apart on one sky box. I've not tested any further than this as I don't have 60m Ethernet cables around- but given cat 7 cables shouldn't lose any signal over that length I see no reason why it wouldn't work.Finally. It's also has RF transmitter as well, so you can use an IR remote to change the channel should you wish. As I have sky Q we have one on Bluetooth and one of IR, s it doesn't really matter to what we need, but amazingly cool technology for little money
