WORKTOP EXPRESS Solid Oak Timber Block Floating Shelf - Available in a Variety of Sizes (300mm x 200mm x 30mm)

Purchased this to get an additional shelf to the ones purchased from same company 5 years ago. Still the same great quality as before. Delivered promptly and in perfect condition. Simple to fit and adjust.

Can't fault the quality, shame it had to go back. This is only suitable for fixing to solid brick/block walls not plasterboard/stud partition walls.Most of the cheap hollow floating shelves come with a metal bracket with rods sticking out that the shelf slides onto. If the holes in the bracket for fixing to the wall don't align with the studs then simply drill new holes in the bracket.This shelf comes with two substantial steel rods that have to be screwed into the wall. The hole centres in the shelf are 12" apart (~305mm), this will not match the spacing on any studwork which is normally 400mm or 600mm. To fit to a stud wall you are going to have to drill holes into the shelf to match. Even as a experienced DIYer, I don't think I'm capable of drilling what looks like a 12mm hole perpendicular (in both planes) into a block of wood edge on. But not without additional cost. Shelf now fixed to a stud wall, looks great. I also bought a setting tool to fix the fixings in the stud wall. I then had to get my router out to cut slots in the back of the shelf to accommodate the stud wall fixings. You could do it with a hammer and chisel, but not something I'd want to do.Really pleased with the end result, but it ended up as = shelf + brackets + fixings + fixing tool, which equates to = £36.00 + £5.00 + £4.99 + £9.41. In round numbers £20 more than the cost of the shelf, but worth it. Note, my stud wall was 9mm plasterboard with 6mm ply behind.

I've got that one for my bedroom and is quite good, really sturdy and heavy, good quality wood but a bit expensive, you can get cheap IKEA ones and they will do the same job but those are not as good looking as that one, I'm glad that I bought it!

I have purchased 2 sizes of these shelves, the 1.2m 3cm thick and the 600cm 4cm thick. Both arrived quicker than predicted and were well wrapped. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I highly recommend these, they look fantastic.

I bought this shelve because it was the size I wanted, although it was thicker than I really needed. It's a nice quality, solid shelve and looks good. The thing that surprised me was the size of the wall fixings which are needed to carry the maximum weight quoted. You need to have a very solid wall to fix it to. Luckily I was able to use a brick wall instead of the original partition wall I had intended.

Good shelf. Fast delivery, instructions were clear and easy to follow, and installation was pretty straightforward - had it up in 20 minutes. Seems pretty robust, certainly strong enough to hold anything I'm likely to put on it (kitchen paraphernalia). Looks good, what more can you say - so long as gravity keeps doing its job, I'm sure it will continue to work efficiently. I'm going to order a few more now I've got the first one up...

Solid study product and very good value for money. Seamless finish and quick delivery. Purchased 5 of these now and they look beautiful in my daughters bedroom. We even combined 3 pieces together to make a desk.

Nice, solid wooden shelf but arrived with damaged/broken corners. Not very easy to install the fixtures as they are long and my wall is very hard but did it eventually and the shelf seems to be really strong there. I would give it more stars of it had arrived in good condition.

Se trata de un tablón de madera maciza, alistonada y empalmada mediante encolado en testas con uniones dentadas, lo que permite fabricar los tablones con la calidad de una pieza maciza enteriza, pero sin los inconvenientes de calibrar el corte ni de la posible deformación en el secado posterior. El trabajo de confección es muy bueno y viene con los soportes tipo tornillo con eje excéntrico, de forma que una vez realizados los taladros en la pared einsertados dichos soportes, se pueden rotar en mayor o menor medida para ajustar a la perfección la nivelación del estante, quedando siempre perfecto. Si hay que buscarle algún defecto, es que carece de tratamiento exterior como barnizado o aceitado, pero a su vez le da un aspecto más natural a la madera. En todo caso, se puede aplicar aceite u otro tratamiento exterior que deseemos. Por otra parte, como consejo y dado que el conjunto en sí es pesado y está pensado para soportar bastante peso, es recomendable comprar unos tacos de mayor calidad que los suministrados, ya que el conjunto por su calidad lo pide a gritos( los tacos son lo único que desentona). En definitiva, totalmente recomendable para quien busca calidad y aspecto de primera. La única excepción que haría en este sentido es, en caso de buscar un estante para paredes de pladur, dado que su peso es excesivo para este tipo de paredes( y su longitud no alcanza para instalarlo sobre las guías metálicas del pladur).

Lo he utilizado como balda en el baño y es precioso. La calidad, el diseño, es madera auténtica y se nota. Estoy muy satisfecha. NO hay nada que me desagrade. Tiene todos los accesorios para fijarlo y las instrucciones para su colocación. Queda perfecto. Totalmente recomendable.
