OEM Rear Back Glass Replacement for iPhone Xs 5.8 inches with Reparing Tool Kit and Pre-Installed Adhesive (Space Gray/Black)

I used this kit to replace the broken glass on the back of my kid’s iPhone. Using this kit is the easy part - the only thing you have to remember is to be careful not to bend the glass. Also, pay extra attention to align the camera hole perfectly and apply gentle pressure slowly. I messed this up the first time and broke the replacement glass, so I had to buy this kit again. Make sure you have the tools for removing the broken glass as that part is MUCH harder and more time consuming to than simply applying the new glass. For both kits, the glass back looks exactly like the original, which includes the Apple logo, even though the product display photo doesn’t show any logo (unless it has been updated since this review).

I was not expecting to receive a glass back with the apple logo based on mixed reviews. Pleasantly surprised when it arrived with logo! Great selection of tools to try your luck getting off the broken glass back. The quickest and most effective way to get this job done is a heat gun. I got a craft heat gun from Michael’s for less than 10 bucks and had the glass off in less than 10 minutes. It is true you will be at for hours if you use just the supplied tools. Save yourself the headache and buy the heat gun. Just be care around the copper coil in the middle. If the gun melts the plastic cover away that’s no big deal but once things have heated up and you are prying away the glass you can easily destroy the copper coil and it will have to also be replaced. (As I learned the hard way lol). If you have to replace the coil buy one that has the components already soldered in and you just pop in place a couple of screws and you’re good to go. The other route is above my pay level ha! Patience is the best too have in your tool box for this fun little activity. Good Luck! P.s. Also - Apple if you’re listening I would love to get my hands on some of that adhesive you use. You could keep a keep a boat from sinking with that stuff. Space age. 😁

Love this product for my iPhone . Only thing I ordered the wrong color. Don’t ask. However very easy to do yourself and instructions are very clear to follow . Will buy from this seller again for sure . Saved me money from having to go to apple !

Being my first attempt, it took me multiple hours to remove the old glass and underlying adhesive on the iPhone Xs. I have lots of experience with hot air solder rework and that's what was used to heat up the glass/adhesive. The adhesive needed to be hot enough to peel off pieces of the glass that the whole phone was difficult to hold. Pieces of glass were everywhere, and I almost damaged the charging coil but managed to stab my fingers instead... This repair is definitely not for the faint of heart. You will be pouring blood, sweat, tears, and probably profanity into this. Once you have everything off and clean up any remaining adhesive then you can put the new glass down, and it's super easy. The adhesive appears to hold well as long as you have the internal surfaces of the phone as clean and flat as possible.

If you are in a situation where you need to replace the back glass of an XS phone, reconsider. This was the most difficult repair I've completed. Get a nice case to cover the broken glass and forget about repairing it yourself. This took about 3 hours to complete. The product looks great and fits well. The tools were helpful, but the glue was very challenging to remove, even with a heat gun. Product arrived same day without any defects. No complaint about the product whatsoever but be warned this repair is the worst.

The hole for the factory flash is too big, there is a gap after installation.I also recommend purchasing glass with a flash and wireless charging cable installed. It is very difficult to remove the existing one from the broken glass and install it on the new one. Also, the microphone mount on the factory glass is very tightly secured. It is almost impossible to replace it on the new one without damage.
