Sturdy, well made, ideal if you have an item with European two pin side earth.

I have just bought my second one of these, the first one went pop. Why am I then rating this product as excellent? Because when an appliance short-fuses it is the £4 adapter that you want to burn out, not the £90 iron to which it is attached! It did its job protecting my work equipment well.My iron has a Schuko plug on it. A quick look on Amazon, chose this adapter and it arrived the next day. The slot is very deep and engulfs the whole plug with a very snug fit. This is very useful because it makes it pretty much impossible for the plug to work itself free of the adapter. Its not difficult to get back off when you want to, just won't happen accidentally!I found with my old iron that the movement of the iron cord could cause the plug to dislodge at the socket. After this adapter died, I used a different type of adapter borrowed off something else at home and the plug would come out of that. This does not happen with this Brennenstuhl adapter, it feels very safe and sturdy to use and it allows just enough resistance to prevent it dislodging from the socket if the power cable is moved around.I highly recommend this product, it is a bargain for the price - including free delivery - and I am not hesitating in buying the same product again and recommending it to others!

After numerous attempts at buying European plug converters, most I had previously bought were loose. As they were for my work monitor at home, it meant I would constantly lose connection and hear buzzing when the connection wasn't secure. Very frustrating.This works and is so secure. Holds the plug in firmly and does not buzz. Would recommend.

This was a second attempt at purchasing a 'EU to UK' adaptor, for my tooth brush charger, as the item I previously purchased felt poorly made and did not have a secure socket. This product in comparison feels really well made and durable, no rickety sockets! My only gripe and the reason for only 4 out of 5 stars, is that the EU socket is slightly out of line with the prongs of my toothbrush charger and so I had to slightly force the two together. It does now work , although I would be reluctant to disconnect the two for fear of not being able to re-insert easily.

I did not know when I purchased my Ricoh gelprinter from a UK business that it would come supplied with a European plug and with no USB cable. Well the USB cable was really no surprise as that is not unheard of but the plug NOT being a UK 3 pin plug was a bit of a surprise. I wasn't in a position to return the printer, so I had no choice but to buy an adapter (EU to GB) and went searching the web. I found this Brennenstuhl Travel Mains on Amazon. I was drawn to it's shape and design as it looked different from the other usual cheap adapters (but it was still quite inexpensive, I must add. I also liked the fact that the Brennenstuhl was earthed (not that I really know the specifics of what advantages or disadvantages this really makes to my Ricoh printer). The European plug supplied with the printer fit into the Brennenstuhl Adapter like a glove which fitted into the electrical socket with ease. I have had no problems at all with the power supply to my Ricoh printer as this adapter seems stable and secure. I would highly recommend this Brennenstuhl Plug EU to GB Adapter if you find yourself in a similar situation as I did with an important electronic device purchased in the UK (or in Europe) that has not been supplied with a UK 3 pin plug.

Does the job well

I have a few things that need this style of adapter. Works well and encapsulates and original plug nicely. Recently I’ve had to use the one I bought a few years back on another device and was surprised to see it has a small crack in the plastic.Little expensive and durability is questionable if you want to swap to different devices, but it works well if you intend on keeping it attached. Maybe unlucky with the crack.

I bought this product so as not have to remove moulded European earthed plug on an expensive piece of kitchen equipment purchased with a European. Removal of moulded plug would have invalidated the 2 year warranty. I initially had some reservations about using this device on an £800 piece of equipment but on examination and use of the adaptor these reservations have been dispelled. The adaptor is robust and is an excellent fit for bothe the moulded Euro plug on the equipment and the mains wall socket.Fast delivery meant that I did not have to wait to use the equipment.Adaptor works perfectly in a kitchen environment.Note: contrary to the erroneous comment from another reviewer, this IS A 3 PIN Adaptor for use with earthed appliances and therefore is appropriately described.A very simple and effective solution. Reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommended
