Nice and sturdy, easy to operate, good value
This is my first impressions as the table only arrived today. Overall very pleased - table seems sturdy, the hydraulic lifting mechanism works smoothly and the height (when lifted) is just right for resting a plate on if sitting at a sofa.Box on arrival was fairly heavy - can be lifted by one person but two is probably safer for your back. Inside the box are the various pieces of wood with numbered stickers (important! Altough some of mine had fallen off or never been put on - I was able to compare to matching pieces and figure it out). Screws and fixtures are in individually lettered bags which was helpful. I had quite a few surplus of each fixture.Instructions are diagram-only, and it’s important to pay very close attention as to which bit goes where, and crucially, which way around it goes (I fell afoul of this more than once). If you’re a dab hand at flat pack however it’s not too onerous. As other reviews have said, the holes for the hinge mechanism are not all drilled in (some are, so you can align the hinge, which is helpful) but the rest must be added manually. I did this with an electric screwdriver (and nearly fried the cheap motor), a drill is probably easier, and if you have very strong hands you might be able to do it yourself with a regular screwdriver. Take care not to over-tighten as the wood shreds easily and you will end up with looser fittings.Again as in other reviews it ideally needs two people as various bits need to be held in place while they are screwed in/secured and they’re too heavy and bulky to hold and screw at the same time. I managed to do it myself by supporting the pieces from underneath with other objects (two tins of beans and one of my mother in laws Danielle Steel novels was the perfect height), so it’s up to the user which they find easier.Once assembled, the table seems firm and sturdy, though I do imagine the coating on the chipboard wood could be easily damaged - time will tell. I have hard floors and it slides across them very easily. Lifting the lid is mostly smooth except for a small jolt at the end - avoid resting overfilled drinks or soups on the table top if you intend to raise it - they won’t go flying but you’re likely to spill. Returning it to the closed position needs you to brace it to push against the fairly strong hydraulics else it might just slide away across the floor. Probably not an issue on carpet though. The table is a good size and height - there are several versions of it on amazon and not all have the same dimensions - if intending to use it to eat off while sat on the sofa (as i do) then check the raised height before you buy. This one is just about perfect, however, because the table top does not lift straight up but rather over one side, it could easily tip if too much pressure is exerted on it while raised. All in all I’m very happy with what I got at a decent price.

Excellent, exactly as described, sturdy, gr8 value for money!
The instructions weren't enclosed I contacted the seller and was sent the instructions with sincere apologies but the assembly instructions manual wasn't easy to follow u need a Dad! Who's great with assembling to fix. It looks really great, very sturdy, definetly worth the money, I would order it again, the storage compartments nice, I love the fact you can lift it up while you have things on the table like cups plate etc without spillage.

Good not great
Assembly is pretty overwhelming and sometimes screw holes are not there when the instructions they are. The first instructions don’t look like the table. The holes are centered in the instructions but the actually table they are more on one side. I took a photo if it helps anyone with how the part should be screwed in. Also, I had to unscrew the hydraulics to screw the parts in. Overall, assembly and instructions are not great but once assembled, it looks good. I put the table on a wood floor so when I push the top table down, there isn’t enough friction so the entire table moves. Could be better. Now they assembly is done I’m happy enough to keep it.

Excellent asset for our small sitting room coffee table /desk /dining table all in one !
Absolutely love this peice of furniture! It's heavy ,sturdy , extremely useful for storing laptops etc away from children and great for using as a tv/dinner table with pull out feature as well as a desk for laptop use etc very much recommended..only downside the instructions are poor to put it together and needs two people , but don't let that put you off it's an asset to our small sitting room .

The instructions were not very clear. The assembly could be done if the instructions were ignored.
It can be assembled by one person (I did it by myself, and I'm a 66 year old granny) it took me 8 hours as I had to keep resting, but 2 younger people could assemble it in no time. It is best assembled by 2 people. Once assembled, the mechanism is smooth and does exactly what it says on the tin, so to speak. When assembled it is quite heavy to move on your own. On the whole, in my opinion, and for me, it's fit for purpose

The worse instructions I've ever seen
The assembly is the 7th circle of hell. The instructions are unclear and the holes are wrong. We had to drill new holes because they were with few cm wrong. The stickers for the legs are mismatched. Don't follow the instructions it won't help you. Also one of the pneumatic arms doesn't close it stays always open...Overall pretty bad experience if you don't have the tools and experience to drill new holes I don't recommend!

For the money, you'll struggle to better it.
Flatpack presents no issues to me to assemble but i was impressed with the quality of the fittings. There were one or two rough edges but nothing visible. It took me about 90 mins to assemble, i did drop a spot of pva on the dowels. The instructions were perfectly acceptable, there are plenty of spare screws etc so i did use more on the gas piston brackets. The finish is matt white, it is surprisingly sturdy and ideal as a foot rest, laptop stand, etc. It has a huge inner compartment which is great for remote controls, tv guides, etc etc.Goes well in my living room, nice size, pleasant height.Yeah, im actually pretty pleased with this for the money. 8/10.One last thing, i almost bought the EXACT same unit for £140, on Amazon, when at the bottom i saw this for just shy of £60-£70 so don't be fleeced.
