Sturdy, adjustable and does the job well.
I am really pleased with this 'jelly bag' strainer. To be honest, for the price of it, I wasn't expecting much and when I saw that it was a self-assembly job, my heart sank a little. However, I can't praise it enough. It was simplicity itself to assemble the legs and also to re-adjust them to fit over a glass bowl prior to pouring in the stewed apples I was straining. The mesh bag has sturdy ring holes that fit the peg holders securely without fear that the weight of the fruit will drag the mesh off and drop the bag and fruit into the liquid below .The bag holds about 2kg of stewed fruit - I started with 1.5kg of apples to make mint jelly and rosemary jelly - and there was enough room in the bag for at least another half kilo. The legs are tall enough for a decent suspension to get a good dripping going through the night without the bag touching the liquid below. This is a much better product compared to my other jelly bag which has spindly metal legs and where the bag is held (or should I say is supposed to be held), by a rubber band. Even better, the whole thing can be taken apart when no longer in use and can be stored with very little space required.I am really pleased with this product.

Designed to function really well
This is an amazingly simple device to use (but not, perhaps, to design) which does its job perfectly. The fact that this strainer is collapsible is the icing on the cake because it's easy to store. The strainer is robust, sits at just the right height above any bowl it fits onto, and is sufficiently sturdy that you don't have to worry about it being knocked over. The net is easy to clean with a robust rinse under the tap and/or maybe a quick wash with a washing-up sponge and a bit of washing-up liquid. It dries easily and well (I hang it on a heated airer for twenty minutes or so).I bought this strainer specifically to use for straining raw juices - for which purpose it works splendidly well. I just pour the juice into it and get on with further juicing or whatever, then squeeze the net once to get out any remaining juice, empty the pulp and wash the net. No spills and the whole business is done very quickly. However I'm here again to buy another one of these because I've discovered that the strainer also works well with homemade yoghurt, to create Greek yoghurt. As I frequently juice while yoghurt is straining, I will often need to have two strainers on the go at the same time. I'm also going to try using this strainer when I make paneer as my usual method involves balancing my chinois rather precariously on three tall Lock & Locks over a bowl wedged in between them...Highly recommended, whatever you're straining.

Strainer
Bought this as this year we wanted to make more jams from fruit we grow on the allotment and also the fruit we forage from the hedgerow.Everything came in on time and in no time we set about our jam.To set it up was so easy, washed the bag and filled with rosehip pulp, this would test the bag to see if the hairs from the hips would be strained, next morning we awoke to find a perfectly strained hair free liquid in the bowl. The bag washes easy, the stand is stiff enough for the pulp and it can fold flat, although it is quite large when folded down.I have since seen this item in a hobby store for twice the price! All in all we are pleased with this item for the cost.

Great pulp strainer
Easy to assemble and the pitch of the legs means that it can fit a range of collection vessels underneath. I especially loved the metal eyes fitted into the corners of the bag which enables it to take the weight of the pulp with ease.

Does the job
This is an okay device, looks a bit strange, the big problem is the net smells of plastic and you have to wash it several times to remove the smell. The first batch I made I had to throw away.

Good value
Works well and packs away without taking too much space in cuoboard.

Making jelly will be a breeze
This , I do recommend. It sits perfectly well on different size bowls.I have strained large quantities of apples in one go and it stood up the weight.Very easy to clean and can be stored away flat by twisting the legs.

Poor quality, broke and ripped after a single use
The principle was good, but the execution poor. After one use, the bag ripped while being washed, and the plastic on one foot sheered off. I would not recommend. I will go back to a bag with handles, laced onto a pole, more hassle but more reliable. Really disappointed that this did not deliver on its promise
