Large 44cm tall Free standing Galileo thermometer in Gift packaging

This is a an interesting way to monitor the temperature in your room. It is very pretty especially if you can put a light behind or around it and so far it has proved to be very accurate. Each floater represents 2 degrees celsius and as the temperature increases so the floats drop to the bottom. As the variations in temperature occur slowly you will be lucky to catch the action so if you are looking for something you can watch like you would a lava lamp then you may be disappointed. However, it is pretty to look at so don't let the lack of action put you off.The base is adequate for its safety but as it's made entirely of glass it's best put away from the reach of youngsters.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my son,He loved it, thought it was accurate and really nice to look at, a conversation starter.I thought it was good value for money.I looked at many and this was my favourite.I would recommend.

The first one of these I ordered was perfect, on the temperature discs, it had Celsius on one side and Fahrenheit on the other.I ordered a second one to find it has only Celsius temperature and it seems all this new stock is the same.Why get rid of Fahrenheit? it doesn't make sense and for anyone like me that likes to use Fahrenheit, it's pretty annoying.Rant completed.................I do actually really like this and it would make a great, unique gift. The temperature is easily readable and it's so much nicer than modern, digital thermometers. I stand it in front of a mirror so the colour and sparkle is reflected, it looks really pretty.

I never normally write reviews. However, I need to acknowledge how well packaged this item was. With the bubble wrap and boxes used there was no way it was going to damage during transit. Thank you so much my other half loves it!

la fragilité du produit n'est absolument pas respecté dans les transport, aucune indication sur l'emballage comme "fragile" par exemple et "haut et bas" qui serait indispensable pour ce genre de produit. J'ai commandé ce produit à deux reprise et les deux fois il est arrivé avec une boule cassé
