Don't be put off! 2009 LandCruiser 120
This is a great little unit! I wanted DAB and BT connectivity to listen to music on my phone. This unit does all that so, happy days. Installation is very easy but I chose to fit the DAB antenna horizontally rather than how the video showed, simply because the Sony head unit in my other Land Cruiser is fitted that way. There is the occasional drop-out but only in the boonies where I live, once nearer civilisation it's loud and proud. It looks good in place, is easy to read and easy to set-up.

Simple device to receive DAB
I bought this to fit to my 8 year old car stereo rather than fit an expensive replacement head unit and external DAB aerial. I read plenty of reviews prior to buying, and most seem to rate the Highway DAB adapters highly. I was worried about the signal strength with the glass mount antenna, and although good with the BBC stations (it only dropped out a couple of times near some big hills on a trip from the North East Scotland to Northumberland), the commercial stations are a bit hit and miss (Capital, Magic etc etc), its also worth checking the local DAB coverage, as parts of Scotland don't seem to receive DAB. Fitting the adapter in my car was relatively straight forward as I had an easily accessible way to route the power & aux cable so it is mostly hidden, once powered up the aerial required an update which was done via laptop and usb, where as an update via the app and bluetooth would be easier. The DAB unit looks OK but feels a little cheap, and the graphics are more like a 90's Kenwood aftermarket stereo, I can also play my Spotify albums & playlists however they are not displayed in alphabetical order which makes finding specific music on the move harder. Apart from those few downsides, the unit is working well enough and I can listen to BBC 5Live clearly.

A small device but a big disappointment
While this product is very easy to install (attach an antenna to the windscreen and find someone to pop device), it comes with some major flaws. First of all, if like me, you don't have an aux cable, you can use FM transmitting mode, but you'll get some nasty background noise. Secondly, if you wish to use Spotify as this product adverts, it's not as easy as just opening Spotify on your phone and clicking play. That works on the BT mode, but if you want full Spotify functionality, you need to download the PureGo app, which is hell. This app must be open, with your Spotify account connected to it. You then can't control Spotify on your phone (or a passenger if you're driving) as this will cause it to crash as you're actually playing Spotify through the PureGo app. Currently, the PureGo app sits at 1.23 stars out of 5 on the Google Play store, so this only indicates the high quality of it. When you finally do have it connected through Spotify, good luck! You'll randomly lose "internet" according to the device itself, even if you have full 4/5G.Even just trying to save a preset station is a major hassle as this requires to hold the heart icon and the centre knob in at the same time, otherwise you'll end up on the home screen again. While I love the concept, it's been so badly fullfied, that I can't recommend this to anyone.

Simple way to add DAB+ to any car
I purchased this to add dab+ to my car, the instructions were very easy to follow and everything that was needed to get going was included in the box.The signal is fantastic, with no dropouts whatsoever.Bluetooth pairing is simple and works well with both Apple and Android for music

Less than perfect, but likely the BEST out there.
I got this radio to override my Toyota Prius FM radio as in the UK most channels have now gone digital and I could not get most stations anymore. The installation is quite simple and straightforward. The communication between the controller unit and the antenna (applied to the windshield) happens wirelessly and the AUX/power cables are combined and can be hidden along the path without any modification or professional installation. The controller unit is powered by 2 AAA batteries and charge should apparently last a year... yet to test this. The sound quality where cover is good is excellent, it can falter a bit where the signal is not too strong, and that can be true for local radios when travelling across the country or between countries as I did on a long drive to Italy. The stations will not update automatically, but it is very easy to do with just 3 taps on the controls... and the radio autotunes in 15-20 seconds. It would be nice if, given that it already connects to a phone, it had geographical awareness and it were able to update the stations automatically. The interface is my only gripe with this, it is not super quick to change stations and it is not easy being the driver, as there is no 1 click next station button, that works only for saved stations, all the others one has to rotate and push the dial... which is not easy to do without looking at the display as it can be fiddly. One star lost because of this. Also the buttons on the side catch and can lift and I am afraid I could end up snapping them off.The screen goes off very quickly after selecting a station, which is good for driving at night and reduced distractions, but it also means that to check the station you will fiddle with it more. The second star is lost because the unit is not compatible with the app unless one does an antenna update... which is only possible with a Windows PC or an android phone... either of which I do not have and especially the PC I would struggle to have connected while in the car. Because of this the Spotify and bluetooth functions that operate via the phone simply do not work. A real shame as I was hoping to listen to my music while driving and also tag music that I listened to on the radio... but alas it proved impossible without the aforementioned update.I believe this is a great radio, easily 4 stars if they sorted the update and allowed iOS or Macs to update the firmware and 5 stars if an option to scan stations without using the dial were available... maybe even voice controlled via the phone app (one can dream these days ;-) )At this price though, a radio with PURE quality, I believe it is a no-brainer. I would though avoid the 200 version because in it the controller does not connect wirelessly to the antenna, but would be curious to try the simpler controls. I skipped the 600 version as I already have a hands-free phone in the car, but really the prices have fallen so much that I would recommend either.
