Dr. Harvey's Veg-To-Bowl Grain-Free Dog Food Pre-Mix, 5 Lb

This dog food is great! I have been making my golden retriever lightly cooked veggies for a couple of years now. The bi-weekly process of chopping, cooking and using the food processor has become tiresome. So when I came across Dr. Harvey’s food I thought I would try it. It did not disappoint! My dog loves it and now all I have to do is add water. So much less work and no mess. I cannot recommend it enough. Dogs want to eat (and deserve to eat) real food. I add her usual raw dog meat and we are good to go!

The bag is the size of a dog food bag, and it expands when you add water, I mix up a cup of product then freeze into ice cube trays so I have small servings, that I can add to the dogs kibble. I just take a couple out in the morning and place in the fridge to defrost till supper time. Dogs like and the smell is not too bad kinda like stove top. Alot more healthy then adding the mixed frozen peas and carrots you can buy at the grocery store.

My senior labrador was diagnosed with stage 2 CKD. The vet recommended I put her on the prescription dry food. I had done the research and wanted to find a different kind of food for my beloved pet. I found Dr. Harveys. It comes with directions for all types of diets. I can control my pets protein intake, which is important in a kidney diet. It is very easy to make, measure out water and measure out the mixture. Combine and let it sit to rehydrate. I make my pets food fresh every morning, with eggs and either chicken or salmon. I do not feed raw but I guess you can do it with this mixture. Funny thing, my vet didn't know anything about this food. After my dogs last blood test, my vet said her kidney levels have really improved, she is very surprised and suggested I keep doing what I am doing. Oh and my dog loves this stuff, she never has an issue eating!

My doodle only eats a raw diet with Dr Harvey’s. It’s as easy to make as a bowl of instant oatmeal, once you locate a source for quality raw meat. 4 stars due to my dog not liking this blend as much as some others.
