This is a toy. The sound quality is that of a toy. Think slide whistle compared to a flute. It's nice for a percussion enthusiast as long as they understand it's not a serious darbuka.

any time you have the opportunity to capture your children's attention, seize the moment. As a 50 something with 5 & 8 year old duo that will most certainly be the end of me, i struggle to keep most things. attention being the segway to learning, has been captured. i purchased steel drums, bongos, 16 inch darbuka and this lovely 10 inch darbuka. our garage concerts need a bit of fine tuning before hitting the percussion tour. that time spent with my children learning, doing and teaching is priceless in a multitude of ways. i hope your darbuka experience is just as special.
