The package had everything to get started. Once you receive it the feather copper handle and nib is off superior quality although the price is low, able to compete with the most expensive pens in the market. You will be satisfied by it.

Just be aware that this is sharp tips dipped in ink...not a fake ballpoint pen made to look like a quill or something

The pen came nicely displayed in a box with a jar of ink, & several different pen tips. I had never used one before, I was surprised how nicely it wrote, felt just like writing with a ballpoint pen.

I've been doing calligraphy for more than 40 years. When we bought a pen set back in the early 1970s it came with sturdy and quality nibs. The ones that come with this pen stink. They don't hold ink and they buckle at the slightest pressure. I bought a set of pro nibs and I was good to go, so this quill is an excellent value as long as you go in understanding that you need to order better nibs.
