Easy to install and looks good

Chimney was longer than I thought, so only needed one of the chimney sections - had to attach the top with double sided 3M tape to attach to wall - my mistake for not looking at the dimensions. Looks good though. Even at the lowest setting this is a noisy device. Glass cover sticks out further than I would like making it easy to bang your head on it - again should have looked at the dimensions.

My wife is delighted both with how good this cooker hood looks now that it is installed and with how well it works. The installation instructions are a pretty rubbish translation, but any reasonably competent DIYer shouldn't have any great problem. My one piece of advice: if you are replacing an existing cooker hood, check the dimensions of the exhaust trunking (and hole in the wall) before you buy. I didn't, and had an issue that the trunking of the new hood was a larger diameter than the original. Fortunately I was able to sort it without too much difficulty and I'm impressed by how good the new hood looks. Great value, considering the price. Shortly after installation, the light bulbs failed. The response from Ciarra was immediate and impressive; New bulbs were couriered out to me and the problem resolved. Couldn't ask for more.

While this looks the part (from a distance) it proved ineffective both in the short and medium term. The motor on my model failed within 3 months and I was able to get a hassle free refund from Amazon. While it was operational I very much doubt it was delivering the extraction rate advertised - it seems far less effective than my previous hood. The buttons are plastic and will soon wear out. There also seem to be a high number of similar failures if you look through all the reviews so beware as it’s not only a real hassle to take down and return but then you have the joy of reinstalling one alll over again

Bought this Cooker hood to replace a rather clumsy looking one and it certainly smartens the kitchen up . It is and looks very good quality and value for money . More expensive units only give more electronics and controls , nothing wrong with simple push buttons. The instructions on the video are excellent and simple to follow, the only part that was awkward was the fitting of the chimney top part since my ceiling is quite low and had only 100mm clearance to fit hose and screw bracket to wall . Would be ok if your ceiling was higher .

First purchased in Sept 2019. This one has just broken and I have ordered another. Beware that the fan and housing are only supported on one side and as you can see from the photo the plastic has broken away from the supported side. Very disappointing as everything still works! I suppose for the price the fact it lasted 2 years is okay. I have only ordered the same one again as the tiles under the extractor are shaped for this particular hood.

I was very impressed with this extractor hood. It looks very stylish on the wall with good extraction rates. Because of my specific installation requirements I had to install the unit at a much greater height above the hob then recommended but it worked just fine and I rarely have to use other than the minimum fan speed. The twin LED lamps installed in the unit are very bright despite only using 2W of power. I connected the unit to an existing outside vent so did not require a carbon filter which is not supplied with the extractor. The installation instructions were confusing at first but I eventually I made sense of them and the installation was then straightforward. After I had the unit for a few months one of the lamps blew and I was unable to source a suitable replacement. I contacted the manufacturer who responded very quickly dispatching a couple of replacements from China which were delivered by DHL within six days.

First, the good bits: It is significantly cheaper than most of the competitors out there. It looks great, it has an extremely powerful fan and, in recirculation mode, absolutely pulls smelly kitchen smells up to the filter. I don’t use it as an extractor fan to duct to outside but I imagine it would be even more efficient in this mode. But there are also negatives: The instructions are beyond awful. They are almost a comic masterpiece in their own right and worth preserving as an example of how not to help your customers assemble your product. Helpfully (!) there is a link to a YouTube demonstration. Once I got over the fact that the narrator sounds distractingly like Kermit from the Muppets, this did help but only if you don’t want to attach the chimney flush with the ceiling. The demo shows the person leaning into the top of the assembly to attach it to the wall – equivalent to me leaning down through the upstairs floorboards, through the ceiling with my screwdriver and attaching the inner chimney to the supplied bracket. Someone without a range of DIY skills would struggle with trying to assemble this item. Once working it is extremely loud (strangely, it is advertised as “quiet” but I guess this is a relative term). Certainly, my wife and I have to shout to each other to have a conversation in the kitchen if the fan is on full power

Ho acquistato questa bella cappa. Dopo due anni e più di utilizzo, purtroppo le luci si sono bruciate. Ho contattato il venditore per chiedere se era possibile acquistarne due nuove e..... Me li ha inviati GRATUITAMENTE nonostante fosse terminata la garanzia. Già di mio ho consigliato questa cappa perché è molto bella ed elegante (cucina open-space)... poi... Dopo questo sevizio post vendita lo farò ancora di più!!!!!!!!!! Ho pagato solo le spese doganali ( 4,05€). Ottimo servizio!!!

Instalada da un toque muy estético, destaco sobre todo que con el máximo nivel (3) no genera un ruido que pueda ser molesto. Muy buena adquisición .

It is very noisy, even at the lowest setting, the noise does not change that much at the higher settings.
