Worked great with W11
This plug-and-play'ed just fine, allowing me to see a lot of old photos. It was a great price when I nabbed it.

CD not recognized by my Windows laptops.
I could not get this CD player to be recognized by either of my Windows laptops. One is Windows 10 (Dell), and the other is Windows 11 (HP). Pop in an audio CD and connect via USB C or USB A. Not recognized in File Explorer. Not recognized in Apple Music. Too late to return it. I should have tested it sooner.

Not for MacBook. Works GREAT on Windows!
I have a MacBook Pro and the item description said it would work but it did not. Actually it would burn three music CDs and then error out on a couple and then do fine on a couple more and then error out again (yes, my MacBook is completely updated). So, I decided to download Apply Music on my Predator and see if it would work better on a windows based machine and it worked beautifully! If you have a MacBook stick with the apple equipment for your externals.

Works fine.
Wish the connected cord was longer. Had to purchase an extension cable. Otherwise, works as advertised

FAST - Works on Chromebook (except)
This is an excellent device. I purchased the version with USB-C and regular USB.Before purchasing, I found reviews that stated it does not work with Chromebook (Chrome OS) - and while this was one of my applications, I decided to give it try and do a return if it bombed. Here are my findings....I am using an ACER 17" Chromebook - I think it is a 2021-22 version. The device works on Chrome OS, BUT NOT for Audio CDs. Audio CDs cannot be read. DVDs can be read, but there is no software on Chrome OS to play DVDs.So I had another, older, external player and decided to test whether it could read Audio CDs on Chrome OS. It could not.So my assessment is that some Egghead developer at Google decided that no user would ever want to listen to an old Audio CD or watch a DVD that they own. That is simpleton thinking and absurd. In summary, this device works 100% on Windows and other desktop operating systems, but NOT 100% on Chromebook. My view is that this deliberate limitation is built into Chrome OS for some unknown and unreasonable reason. I mean, why would you create this great OS and deliberately exclude an ability to play Audio CDs? And why would you deliberately not allow a user to play a DVD that they own.I'm keeping this device because I have other uses for it. --- Other than for limited Chrome OS
