M3-M12 Capacity Handle Adjustable Tap Reamer Tapping Wrench Tool

I purchased this to replace the really cheap zinc/aluminum based handle that came with my really cheap tap set. My original handle I rated a 2/10. This handle is about a 6/10. Not top shelf machinist gear by any means, but strong enough for most basic tap operations. The jaws are steel, the body is aluminum.

Somewhere in my tool box lies another one of these. Old and rusty, but of course, I can't find it. Since I needed to tap one hole, I didn't want to spend a fortune.This is exactly what I needed.I will say the moveable part is tiny, and seems to loosen up on it's own, but it didn't stop me from using the tap.Good value.

Tapped 2 holes and the tap retaining insert cracked. Thought the tap broke but it was just the insert. Not a well made tool. Very loose part fitment. Doesnt tighten down well on a tap.

Received the item in pieces and put it back together. Not very good quality but got the little job done that I needed it for.

i recently bought a 3 series BMW and found 1 of the hub stud holes was not only empty, but very, very rusted. With this tool, I was able to clear the threads and be able to use 5 stud bolts again. worked great..

Works as intended. I do recommend placing some loctite on the non adjustment side.
