When it's lock, is there a way to lock the inside handle or no?

The inside handle always operates the lock. To lock an inside handle is not only a fire hazard but also illegal.

Is there a trick to making the fingerprint scanner work? I've bought two, and neither one will work for me. Two other people have tried and nothing.

When adding a fingerprint on this lock, please follow the instruction in the App, place your finger on the fingerprint scanner for [4 times].
