8.8lbs in the box. Probably only actually 8.2lbs of actual oats. Kinda throws off Amazon's price per measurement system.

I bought these oats to cook for oatmeal, However it has a hull around each groat, which makes it not edible. I will try to remove the hull by baking (180°F 1 hr) and rubbing. If this works, I could continue to eat. However, this product should be clearly labeled as having a hull and NOT recommended for human consumption. I am not able to return this product, which makes this an unfortunate purchase.

I ordered this 10lb bag specifically for mushroom cultivation because it was advertised as “triple cleaned.” Unfortunately, that description didn’t match the product I received. The oats came with a thick layer of dust, a surprising amount of blackened oats, and even corn mixed in.It came packed loosely in a box and I moved it to a bag to agitate and remove some of the excess dust left in it. While the grains themselves may still be usable with extra prep, I had to rinse them several times, let the dust settle, and manually pick out foreign debris. That’s a lot of extra work for something that's supposed to be clean and ready to go.If you’re buying this for mushrooms or need high-quality, clean grain — be prepared to do additional cleaning. Not a total loss, but definitely not what I expected based on the description.

This is the third time I bought this product. First 2xs they put oats in a plastic bag and was great. This time no bag ! Just the box!! When opening the box oats went everywhere!!

Just spent all day trying to make these into oatmeal. I didn't realize that they had the hulls still on them. Wasted $30, four bananas, a pint of half and half, lots of energy, and lots of sleep, waiting for these to soften.
