This gravity filter makes zero sense. First, a massive 6 liter bag with no cordage AND small loops to hang it. Second, a tiny hose for the clean water that has little chance of getting in your container. Third, the flow is average at best with the water coming out awkwardly from said included small hose. You would be just as good (if not better) setting up a Sawyer squeeze with a CNOC bag. You have to take your own cordage on each anyways. What is the aim here? A 6L gravity filter would be for car camping, and there is zero reason (other than to save cost) to not include a hose that would filter nicely into, well, anything, but particularly a water bottle, a jug, or anything else. This hose just goes on or off in an awkward manner and is only decent for something like showers/brushing teeth--that is, if you can actually get it hung with the small holes for hanging with your own cordage. Very disappointed as I do like Hydrapak's bags, but the engineering is cheap and not there yet.

I’ve been a big supporter of Hydrapak systems (primarily in the form of their collaboration with osprey) so when I needed a bigger bladder with a filter option they were the obvious choice. I made sure to research the product that I was buying and wanted to know more about the filter so I looked at the most similar looking one on their Amazon page. Unfortunately when it arrived I realized that the 28mm filter is not what comes with this kit, but rather a different strictly in-line filter. I’m not sure if I’m going to hold on to this, or buy the 28mm down the road, but I am sure that I wanted to help inform everyone else.

Returning to write review after using item for two multi day trip. I did not need to use the filter so can not speak to that part of it. However, after only two uses, the bladder is leaking along the seam between the bladder and the black fabric piece. I tried to reach out to the seller to request a replacement and have not heard back after about a week. Seems to be a poor product with poor customer service
