This jamon was the best tasting. The only thing I just didn’t get enough

I've been wanting to try Iberico Ham since I saw it on a Anthony Bourdain episode, so my expectations were a little too inflated. There was a noticeable flavor difference from prosciutto and it was nutty and salty in a very good way. However I didn't notice enough of a flavor difference to justify the cost compared to a GOOD prosciutto like Boars Head.

I do not recommend this product as Iberico. Not even close. It' not bad for prosciutto, but this is not Iberico.

I had heard so much about Iberico I wanted to try it. It has the richest flavor of any cured meat I’ve ever tasted. While I love prosciutto di Parma for special uses, Iberico fills the place of an everyday treat. Too bad it costs so much. My world-traveling son tells me it sells for $8 a pound in Madrid. Maybe if it becomes more popular here, the price will come down. So eat, eat, eat!
