Good value
I bought the smaller vise, but it is good quality for lighter work.

It's a $33 Vice
This inexpensive Chinese made vice replaced a CHEAP Chinese vice that I had for 3 years before the thin cast iron base swivel cracked. The castings this new vice are clearly better than the ones from a few years ago. Larger cross sections, far better finish and the machined areas actually look like they were adhering to some tolerances (not fine tolerances but better than the ultra-cheap Chinese stuff from a few years ago). This is NOT a high-quality vice by any means, but it is a completely serviceable, 100mm jaw vice. The main screw is covered by the guide so chips and debris will not fall on the threads. The screw engages a cast nut that is bolted to the body of the vice, allowing for disassembly and cleaning if needed. And that nut, which is held by a single 13mm bolt, and can be positioned so that it is perfectly in-line with the main screw. The internal threads of that nut are well formed and about 1” long, giving it suitable strength. It’s not up to the old U.S.A. made standards in terms of engagement area, but it’s also only $33. The jaws actually lined up and closed fairly tightly. Those jaws are secured by Phillips head screws and are removable (read that as replaceable if needed). The swivel base has an internal casting (the circular piece that the vice is attached to) that is much better quality than is typically seen in this price range. The threads were well formed and the surfaces that needed to be flat and true were in fact flat and true. (fairly rare in this price range). The “hammered” paint finish probably hides a lot of casting and machining sins, but the exterior of the castings looks decent. It’s not a 60-year-old Wilton vice or some other vintage American made cast steel vice; this is a Made in China casting that sells for $33. If you’re looking for a high quality old American vice, this isn’t even close. But if you just need a serviceable 100mm (roughly 4”) vice for general home use – this is a pretty good bang for your buck.

Needs better packaging
The vise is fine but the packaging is totally worthless .Mine arrived in a box that was torn ,full of holes, and barley holding together.Good thing that there weren't any small parts or they would have been lost.
