Here in Charlotte NC, there are 2 things you can count on...dark night skies, and bugs the size of Volkswagens attracted to every light they can find. So, when every we turn the lights in the yard on so we can let the dogs out, we can always count on the house being attacked by every kind of bug you can think of. They swarm the house as soon as any source of light is available. So, when we wanted to find a way to illuminate the back yard, we wanted to do it with a light source that was AWAY from the house, but still allowed us to see what's lurking in the dark. I came across these Solar Street Lights and said what the heck. I was able to mount one on each of the furthest corners of the yard and put them up on 10' tall poles attached to our perimeter fence. Because they are fully positionable, I was able to aim them towards the center of the yard so they could overlap a little.There are 3 settings so you can tailor it to your needs. I have mine set on Constant On, but Low Light, with the brightness kicking it up whenever motion is detected. This keeps the bugs far from the house as they are attracted to the light, but the low light level is just low enough to not bother the neighbors. When the dogs run outside, even when it's pitch black out, I can see them...then when they trip the motion light, I can see everything out there.These make it a real pleasure being able to go out onto the deck and NOT have to get eaten up by the bugs, or worry about them getting into the house when I open the door. They offer plenty of security, and they run all night with no issues. Grated, we have no such thing as shade here in NC, so they're getting charged up from sun up to sun down.I'm so pleased with these that I have not only recommended them to friends(seriously) I'm thinking about adding another set to the front of the house...but those will be strictly on motion duty.Good thing....they have a remote, so once switched on, you have complete control without having to climb up and touch anything.

Was a bit skeptical at first because of the size but once installed I’m very impressed. These lights put off exactly what I needed and with the multiple settings (motion, 100% or 30% power) I have options.Mounted on 14’ 6x6 posts about 8.5’ off the ground. Motion picks up from just over roughly 20’ away and work great. Very happy with these solar lights.

After looking at reviews these solar lights do the job, I put them on the side of my house where there was not light and it lit up pretty well, the remote it comes with is alittle different I can’t seem to put it on the right mode I want 🤷🏼‍♀️other then that, I’m glad also that I don’t have to charge them or plug them in that makes a difference

I recently purchased the solar street light from amazon after my dusk to dawn light bit the dust. I couldn’t be happier with the lights, you get two lights and two remotes. They are light weight and easy to install. Another plus they have three different modes which provide plenty of illumination. I am so satisfied I’m going to buy another set for the backyard. I highly recommend the solar street lights.
