Bit hit and miss
I've actually bought 7 of these as relatively cheap and you don't need to keep replacing the batteries. I turn them off during the day but only need to use 5 in the garden to hopefully cover all angles. I only need them to keep the foxes away. After a few days the ones outside stopped working properly or the red light is flashing, so I bring these ones indoors and prop them up by the window at the front of the house in order to receive any sunlight that day. Where I put them in the back garden doesn't get any sunlight in the Winter months hence moving them indoors. It does seem to work, but I can replace any faulty ones that evening with any of the 2 extra ones. The foxes have been in the garden but only evidence of them by units that are not working when I check in the morning. So to sum up I assume they do work as long as the unit functions properly all of the time.

Don't buy unles you live in lala land where sun always shines.
Does not charge if not on direct sunlight. So forget protection on cloudy days. No port to charge it any other way. In the 10 days it was set up cat pooed next to it 3 times so I had enaugh. Returning this piece of rubbish. Was thinking of posting a picture of the latest load but it's to disgusting. Would give 0 stars if there was an option.

Squirrel Repelent
Just what I wanted to keep the Squirrels out! nice and compact gadget just want the sun to come out now to charge the batteries.

Worked fine for about 4 weeks
Worked fine for about 4 weeks, seemed to keep serial-offender cats away, but totally useless since as won'r seem to charge. Waste of money.

Not Working.
It appeared to be deterring the cat that was frequently fouling my lawn but, unfortunately, it stopped working after only a few weeks.

Appears to work fine, as we have only had it a couple of days, the jury is still out.

Not Happy.
Put in garden when I received it, worked okay. Stopped working short while later and refused to charge up when in sunlight. Should have saved my money!

Haven't seen any fox's crap in the garden since it has been installed so it works fine
