Premier Housewares Chopping Board, Champagne, 36 x 46 cm

Despite a lot of customer reviews saying their had arrived damaged, I thought I'd take a punt as its a decent size and just what I was after to roll pizza dough. Sadly, I'm adding to the rest of them. The fragile board had a flimsy box and no bubble wrap around to protect it. It arrived in an Amazon box with just paper surrounding it. Corner was badly chipped and damaged on but the quality of the stone itself was shockingly poor. Badly scratched all over and no felt pads underneath to protect your work surface. Good luck if you get a sound one, but mine was returned and I will look elsewhere.

It looks so good nice quality heavy I’m really pleased with it the only thing I would say is if you do purchase the chopping board I would also order some sort of rubber mat to put underneath it as I found it was slippery on my work top when I went to cut anything on it I just bought something off Amazon no more slippery chopping board stays in place looks great

I should have read the reviews before buying it. It was delivered broken. Ordered replacement and replacement was also broken. Either Amazon send the broken ones or their drivers don’t handle with care. Don’t buy them it seems this stone is not very strong and at some point they will break.

I bought this slab to temper chocolate and it does an excellent job. It’s heavy and solid and looks great

I wasn't very happy about this chopping board, I got it for a new House parcel, when it was opened it was smashed in more places then bits of big the cutting board itself

Lovely piece of marble. I bought it primarily for my chocolate making, but it's brilliant also for rolling fondant and pastry (of course!) and for just looking pretty on the worktop! I was hesitant about buying this type of thing online as I feel that natural stone should be seen and felt before purchasing, but this is very nicely made (not perfectly smooth though) and has lovely rubber feet which raise it nicely off the counter. The board itself is a reasonable depth - around 15 mm and is a lovely colour. Can't complain too much apart from it not being perfectly smooth all over, but it doesn't affect my use of it, but had to take a star off to reflect that so others for whom smoothness might be a factor are aware. (No point in writing a review unless you're going to be honest!). I would definitely buy more if I needed to.

Arrived broken in half. I could feel this immediately as I lifted the box it was in. I didn't even take it out of it's primary box, just looked inside. Also you could clearly see that it had been opened before, the seals were not sticking anymore and there were marks on the cardboard , making it obvious that someone had opened it. Will return.

We bought the larger one and also round ones and the kitchen roll holder and the quality was amazing . This on was crumbling etc and not as polished. I understand it’s natural but disappointed never the less .
