I tested this little umbrella out a few times on vacation. Since it's either rainy or sunny where we were going, I wanted to get an umbrella that could protect from the sun and rain but be super compact for carrying around. When wrapped up this is smaller than a soda bottle which was amazing since it fit inside a belt bag/fanny bag. This was an absolute game changer for sun protection, it is large enough for one person and was a few degrees cooler under it easily. I saw a few people say this was not easy to hold but since this is a compact umbrella, it has almost no handle and holding it by the pole is just something your going to have to do, even for small handed people. It did rain and I will have to say, this can not hold up in a storm. The bars that open and shut the umbrella are not strong enough to keep this open in wind. Light rain this can definitely hold up and will keep you dry, but nothing with too much wind. This really is a great umbrella for one thats compact and easy for travel, so if your looking for a little vacation umbrella this is for you!

I live in California and had been in the hospital with horrifically pouring rain when I got to my parents house for recuperating! I was using a walker and my umbrella was too small this one was great perfect size and kept me warm and dry!

I've used this umbrella already a couple times in both the rain and the sun and have been pleased with the performance in both instances. In light rain, it repelled water and kept me try. I'm skeptical about how it will perform in a downpour. As far as sun performance, it provided great shade on a bright and sunny day, and truly lived up to expectations.After you open this, it will never again fit as easily into the little carrying bag as when it was put in there by the manufacturer. It does take some effort to get the fabric to fold correctly and lay flat enough to fit. That's been my only gripe so far, as this has been very easy to use, and easy to keep close by. Highly recommended!

This is the perfect size umbrella for fitting in the center console of a car. It has come in handy already more times than I can count. It works very well too. It's small, but not at all flimsy. It's always good to be prepared, and nobody likes getting soaked. It's a very handy thing to have
