I have had this monitor for a couple of months now and use it with my Nikon Z72. It attaches via HDMI cable (sold separately). This setup is used exclusively in my photo studio as it is bulky and necessitates having the camera attached sturdily on a tripod. Once set up and turned on, the monitor nicely displays what the camera sees. The large screen and the ability to touch the screen to move to a particular spot on the image (for focus/exposure) and then enlarge that area, is a great advantage in producing the image I want, especially in terms of focus. I use image stacking and getting the correct focus on the first image is critical. This allows me to do that and as a result saves me a lot of time.

First, I have to say that prior to getting my first camera monitor I was not certain I would really see much utility in having one other than it being larger than the LCD screen on the camera. After I got one, I was hooked and can't imagine going back to not having one. There are several things I really like about this one, for instance, it is much brighter than some of the other brands which makes a lot of difference in that you can see things on this display that you really can't in the other because it is more vibrant as opposed to kind of dull where some portions of the image didn't stand out much. Another thing I like as opposed to the other monitor I have used; you can turn this one totally off and the other would only go into standby mode and still be draining the battery. This monitor uses a Sony battery such as the F550 or F970. The unit itself does not come with the battery but it is not a big deal because they are easy to find in singles or multipacks and are rechargeable so just be sure to have some on hand that are charged before you start your photo shoot. One of the ways I use this monitor is to adjust the focus on some of my vintage lenses including teleconverters to be sure they have the best focus since 1] the vintage lenses do not interact with the autofocus, and 2] they do not show the green box telling me that it is focused (which does not sound like a big deal until you are looking at a 2 - 3" LCD trying to see if fine details are in focus). Another thing that is really nice is you can zoom in on individual portions of the screen. Another way this monitor has been invaluable is in helping me spot my target when shooting wildlife in foliage, etc. they are difficult to spot but with a roughly 6" screen they show up better so that I know my subject is in the frame. Those are just the very basic things a monitor can do for you without getting into any advanced features, speaking of... this one has more features than some of the lower end monitors so I like that aspect certainly. I recommend this monitor and am still learning more about how best to use it as time goes by, but so far even without the more advanced features or uses, I absolutely love this monitor and constantly keep it on my camera. Full disclosure: I got this product for free to test but intended to buy one anyway; however, the one I intended to buy is not as nice as this one so if I had to buy one knowing what I know now... this is pretty much what I would probably buy because overall it just seems to be a much better product.

This product is delivered in a big empty box and just beat to death in shipping. It either is used or it definitely arrives as if it’s used because of the lack of packing customer support stinks. Stay away from this product stay away from the seller trash, garbage trash.

The HT7S is a great touchscreen monitor filled with features, input/output options, and is more than capable for indoor and outdoor use with its bright 2000 nits screen. I really love that I can pinch to zoom during active recording as it allows me to check my focus mid-shoot. I'm relatively new to recording video, currently using a Canon R6M2, and I do a lot of location shoots. The fact that I can easily use this monitor, as a beginner, without also having to worry about brightness issues or needing to deep dive into the menu or sub-menus to find an option, makes this a very friendly piece of equipment. I also feel very confident I'll be able to grow my skills as a videographer as this monitor has so much more capability than I know what to do with (for now).

What I like the most about this monitor is the obvious. It gives me the ability to shoot and adjust my shots regardless of the natural light or lack of, in the environment. The 7” touchscreen makes navigating smoother, but having a few buttons on the side would have been best for me. Overall this is a nice addition for professionals.

I use this monitor with my Sony FX 6, it has tons of features. It includes an HDMI IN and OUT. It also has SDI, which is amazing for the price. It can control some functions of the camera using the control cable that's included. The screen quality is nice and bright. The only downside is that it is glossy so you'll have to get a sun hood to minimize the glare. Decent build quality. It comes with a ton of useful accessories. Im surprised there is not more reviews for this its a very underrated monitor. Although the companies customer support could be better.

I love this monitor! For the price it suits my needs perfectly. However, as at least one reviewer has stated, the mounting bushes can become loose. This happened to me so, being the adventurous, curious type, I opened up the monitor and found that the bush, although unlikely to fail completely, has a square base which is inserted into the moulded case and held in place with what looks like (for want of a better description) a UK 3-pin plug cord grip. I simply removed this and dropped in a few blobd of epoxy glue, replaced the grip and... Pesto! Problem solved. Obviously, I shouldn't have to have done this as the mount should be more stable and more secure by design but, the fix worked and I'm happy.

I was quite impressed with the brightness of this unit and the very competitive price, however the unit's power button broke down after not more than 12 or 15 uses, welded to the motherboard, very complicated to repair (not worth as an experienced electronics guy will charge more than the unit itself). The unit shuts down at under 12 degrees celsius.

Using this a s a return directors monitor. Really good with the swit wireless system as I can use the battery adaptor. Now I don’t need to take it all apart and the unit lives happily on the back.

It’s a shame the image isn’t bad on this but unfortunately the construction makes it unusable for most applications. Every mounting point is loose and it is not possible to mount this monitor in any way at all without a loose connection. Every 1/4-20 mounting point is connected to the frame with unusable backlash to the point where I immediately thought something was broken but it is just the tolerance of the fit of the metal threads inside the plastic housing. The interface is annoying but tolerable if you don’t need to use any tools just view an image. The image itself is fine. Unfortunately the structure makes it impossible to mount securely in any way.

This monitor is not compatible with the 60 fps of our camera (A Canon C200). Unusable.
