I bought this for our kitchen island. The electrician had no problem installing it. I am impressed with the performance of the charging done. Also it looks great on our semi white counters. Most people don’t even notice it until I pop it up.

We have two of these installed on the dry side of our kitchen counter. We read that if they are plugged into a GFI it should be safe. They were easy to install. We had to buy a specific size drill bit for the wood countertop. They pop up smoothly. Very solid, not wiggly or wobbly at all. Plugs fit in easily so you don’t have to push too hard like some receptacles. They are really pretty flush to the counter. There is a bit of a rise, but very minimal, not bad for us.

This pop-up outlet works great in our new kitchen island.

The exposed plastic (top) is not heavy duty enough for installing in the floor. It will break with impact. Will be fine for countertop or desk.
