High end result
The channels did exactly what I needed. Installation was straightforward during the skim coat process, and the finished result looks high end when done properly.

Great product to use as edge profile
Great product to use as edge profile, on a ceiling drywall detail. Creates a neat ledge for LED strip lights.

So many different uses
These LED channels could work in almost any room/use. I have two uses in mind but will need to buy another pack to finish the idea. As long as you are handy or run your idea by your tile/drywall guy you should be ok. They work very well as mirror edging to turn an old frameless mirror into a soft lit mirror. You could also use them as up-lighting in an older room that has dark spots. They could be used behind/above square edged baseboard for under cabinet lighting. If I went through all the spots I'd like to use it in my house I would probably need a thousand or two thousand feet. There are tons of spots you can illuminate with these. You need to figure out wiring based on the LED strips you use. I highly, highly, encourage figuring out hard wiring. There are lots of people pushing battery powered or rechargeable LED lights for in home use. It's not alot of extra work to get them hard wired on an install like this. I think the level of satisfaction and reduction in frustration with having to recharge is worth it. The extrusion is suitable for tile installations or drywall and appears to be extremely uniform (exactly what you want in an extruded product). My drywall guy assures me they can be blended in to any install. It just requires painting when he's done (he does not paint).

These should be the ticket to a nice soft glowing light in my theater room
These should be the ticket to a nice soft glowing light in my theater room. I've been searching for way to create that nice glowing ceiling effect without building bulky soffits. I think this will get the job done and be fairly invisible. I'm excited to start the project now.

Good quality aluminum channel - makes install easier
Ordered this Besseto Plaster-in LED Channel 6 Pack 6.6FT/2 Meter Trim Edge LED Strip Aluminum Channel for an upcoming bathroom project where I was hoping to use these to accent the space. I have yet to actually install them and am curious exactly how they go into the drywall in order to accomplish the standoff. The instructions show the use of a trim board for general mounting but for more complicated designs like in the photos it would need to be incorporated into the drywall. Another great use for it would be for securing up lighting over a counter and just attaching it to the drywall directly above the cabinets. Solid channels with opaque covers. I have struggled a ton with the smaller 3 foot channels and snap in lenses from a couple of other brands.. they are so difficult to attach and one project failed completely because of channel and my inexperience. These are about the same price as those and a much better option.
