The product ad shows someone opening the trash can using a knee bending motion and that actually works very well. I'm shocked by the fact that I actually do this to open my trash can! It really does save your back.The best part about this trash can is the removable trash bag ring liner. It makes it so you can use ANY bag and it will be hidden. Hello hideous grocery bags! I've always hated how you can see my grocery bags in my trash cans, but not with this one! I keep mine in the powder bath since it is the one guests use most often and is not an eye sore.

Love our new automatic trash can for our bath room. It’s pretty and stylish. The lid pops open when it senses a hand over it and then closes on its own, like magic! A green light goes on when it closes. We had to learn to wait until the light goes off when trying to use the automatic feature to reopen it. It was a good purchase.

I don’t like that it is so small. But the functionality of it is great. I am using it in my babies nursery for diapers. Just wish it was bigger.

This fit in the small space between our guest toilet and wall. At first the motion detector couldn't open the lid. It would flash red but nothing would happen. I took my batteries out and put them in again and then it worked. Motion detection is very responsive and I love the auto-close feature.Only thing that's not perfect is the lid doesn't fit easily into the base. I had to use a lot of force to get it to sit inside the main bin so it's level. I'm not sure if it's a manufacturing defect or it the plastic bin got a bit warped from the heat during shipping. Hoping it will re-shape itself a bit now that they've sat together for a few days.

I purchased this to put beside my couch since I have little space. First off, it is very easy to put together. I like the fact that it is small and took up very little space and is very trendy and does not look out of place. It uses your hand motion to open the lid which the light is green then it will close and the light is red. It is great for stinky disposable things as it keeps the smell contained. I have 4 cats and always have plenty of messes to clean up so this is perfect. No down side that I can see although be patient when you wave your hand to open the lid. It must be right above the green light.

Barely used it for a couple weeks, when it suddenly stopped working. The light is still lighting up red when you wave over the sensor but lid does not open or close any more. This trash can is also quite small and the ring to secure the bag doesn't actually fit properly so it doesn't do anything.

Great looking garage can, fit the space of the newly remodeled bathroom. Was working at first, after 1 week it stopped opening automatically. I changed the brand new batteries, it would not open automatically. Other reviews stated batteries had to be replaced frequently but after 1 week? or not to open after replacing batteries. Had to return.
