Bought two of these and put them on the roof of my American RV for extra storage. Perfect fit, streamlined and lockable

Can't see how it can open either side. Spec says metal support arms, mine are plastic?

I was trying to find a dual side opening box and theres not many around, so I saw this and liked the look of it. It said fits most vehicles, so having a standard size car I bought it. Delivery was great and really quick. However when I got it out the box (already fully assembled and ready to install) it did not fit my roof bars. I thought the build quaity of the box was good, similar to other boxes I've used. The locks felt solid and the clamp attachment system (same type as on the much more expensive Thule boxes) is very easy to use. It's also really big, and would fit loads of stuff in. My problem, however, was that the front and rear clamps would not move far enough apart to fit my roof bars, which are fixed location. This would not be a problem for rail fixed bars or ones that clamp to the roof edge which can be adjusted forward or back. I have since found this same item for sale on Ebay and they have included an additional picture (see below) which would have let me know that it would not fit my car. If you are looking at this item and have fixed location bars, please read this review!!! I arranged a return through amazon and after some communication with the seller, they agreed to pay half the return postage (£8 each) and provided me a paid returns label to use. I sent the item back with parcelforce which was no trouble and got thw refund (-£8) very promptly. Although the item was no good for me, I have to say the service from the seller was very good and I would recommend.

Very quick to install on my car. The quick clamp system is good and also lockable as was originally concerned they could loosen by themselves but the center of each quick clamp has a little rocker to unlock the ability to turn the knob. Feels really sturdy on the roof bars which is reassuring with what sounds like minimal wind noise when driving so far. Will be giving it a proper road test very soon.
