Does just what you want.
Perfect little tool. Does exactly what it should. Good size crocodile clamp for the earth giving you plenty of options, cable length is decent too. For the price you can’t go wrong. Definitely a good buy for professional or home/garage use.

Just like my old man's
My Dad had one of these, simple engineering wins every time, love it.Used it to find the live feed to the reversing light on my van to install a reversing camera, because the probe is so sharp it enables you to get into the smallest of connectors or even to pierce the insulation of a tiny low voltage wire to find a feed.

Okay Product
So, it’s a cheap tool and the indicator lamp is just a bulb, not an LED. It’s not super bright but “adequate” for the purpose.I don’t regret buying it, but if I was buying another I would pay a bit more and get one with a highly visible red LED.
