easy to set up and connect up. Has worked fine this summer and looks feels well made. How long it lasts time will tell but as it cost a fair bit hopefully quite a few seasons. One thing I have found with several makes is they do NOT stand up to our UK winters, so disconnect and take indoors AND remove batteries for the winter.

I needed to water two different zones for different lengths of time. This water timer was easy to set up and was supplied with PTFE tape to help ensure all screwed on connectors were water tight and leak free. I didn't need to read the manual too much as the set up menus were clear and logical. When the watering start time is due, the switch on its very quiet (a short click sound). The water timer casing is solid and well build. Overall it is so much simpler to use and quieter than my old Hozelock timer.The only problem I had was that the first unit I received had a problem with the connections in the battery compartment and it didn't power up reliably. I contacted the support email address and they were extremely quick and helpful in their reply. I was supplied with a replacement unit which worked perfectly.

I now have 2 if these units running my plant and garden irrigation.Installation was very easy and all the bits you may need come in the box.Set-up was just as straightforward and easy to understand (as I have the dial version). I'm sure in 12 months when I put them out again I wont need instructions.So why no 5 stars?Like many timers the water pressure is reduced going through the unit and this one seems to reduce it more than others I've used. Even with the filter removed the pressure is lowered enough to prevent my sprinklers working. Remove it from the loop and sprinklers run perfect.Its a shame as its a great little gadget and if water pressure isn't an issue for you its a great buy.

I wanted a simple but effective timer for my garden watering system. This unit fits the bill perfectly. It was extremely easy to insert two AAA batteries, set the clock, start time, watering duration and frequency - all took no more than a couple of minutes. It was equally easy to fit the timer to my external tap and to connect the hose. My complete automatic watering system using a long length of soaker (drip) hose was up and running perfectly within five mins of opening the box!The unit offers a simple watering manual option - simply press and hold the OK button. It defaults to 10mins, but this can easily be increased. At the end of your chosen period, the unit switches manual watering off and any pre-programmed times are automatically restored. There is a manual rain delay button that cancels automatic watering for 1-2 days as well - but there is no rain sensor as there is in some of the manufacturers other (more expensive) models. The two AAA alkaline batteries that I put in it are supposed to last for a year - but only time will tell if they last that long.You can spend more to buy a double hose connector, button control (no rotating wheel) and even a WiFi connected version that you can control from your phone - but I like to stick to simple controls as there is less to go wrong.

Really simple to use and works with no hassle

You really do need a quality sprinkler system to go with this timer , unfortunately I spent low £30 on cheap plastic tubing with little plastic sprinklers which mostly did not work ….well the first four did ( over 4metres) but beyond that NO.I dumped my plastic sprinkler system and connected the timer to my hose with a lawn sprinkler on the end then i bunched all my pots and grow bags together so that the sprinkler reached them , after testing I was satisfied and went on holiday for two weeks , it worked perfectly .If I had been growing my veg in the ground I think a pump of some sort would be required unless you already have exceptional water pressure .

Really disappointed, although the functionality of this unit is great and it's really easy to use and set up - it has started leaking from the casing. Prior to purchasing I tested that our water pressure was in the correct range (it is) but after only a couple of months it's not leaking heavily from the unit casing. No amount of PTFE tape will solve this issue, a total waste of money - don't buy!

Great value, great product. Full control over 3 outlets from one tap. Just what I needed.
