An Episode Guide for All Things Jaws Related
This book was a nice, fun read. If you already know all there is about Jaws, it is nice to re-visit people and memories. If you don't already know all there is to know about Jaws, it is a fun, informative book. Either way, this book definitely belongs with your Jaws collection.

If You Liked Jaws...
Jaws is one of my favorite movies of all time; I even liked Jaws 2 (but not 3 and 4!!!). If you, as well, are a Jawsophile (like that word?), with an inclination towards knowing how movies are made, this book is a must.Everything in it has been covered before in different sources, but it's all here, in one volume, at a very reasonable price. My favorite part-a later chapter dealing with sequels that never happened. If you hated Jaws 2, go to a used book store and try to dig up the novelization by Hank Searle, it was based on an early screenplay draft and makes a whole lot more sense than the movie (SPOILER ALERT-the shark is female and pregnant with the munchies, which explains quite a bit, even a small line in the movie would have cleared this up). Plus details on Jaws 4,People 0- a spoof that never happened; how about real sharks and fake people?Again, if you loved this film and want background on it's making, I very highly reccomend this book.

A fun read
I am a Jaws fanatic and have read every book associated with the making the movie. I did not learn a lot of new things about Jaws but did learn a lot about the sequals and rip-offs that were interesting. This book pointed out the original direction of Jaws 2 and I thought it was interesting enough to read the novelization of the original script; which would have made a much better movie. The interview with John Hancock and Dorothy Tristan was very open and shed some lights on the politics involved in the making of the Jaws2. The where-are-they-now section is worth the price of the book alone. Enjoy.

Very little info about the sequels
I have to agree with another reviewer-it's obvious the author didn't like ANY of the sequels. He hardly writes anything about them (and some of what he writes about is wrong), has very few comments by actors from them, constantly puts the sequels down and has no where are they now info from actors in the sequels. For example of mistakes, he says in one spot that no teens died in Jaws 2 then later says two teens died and can't even be bothered to name the second teen (whose name was Marge and not that hard to find out) and says in Jaws 3 that Kelly only got a nip in the leg (when it was clearly more than a nip). The only sequel that deserved derision was the last one. I wish I could get my money back, as I wanted a book that covered each Jaws movie extensively (okay, maybe not Jaws the Revenge), not one that covered Jaws extensively and the others barely touched on (I found more info about the others on ONE online site than this book.

It is "ok", not essential
I was expecting a much more visual and colorful presentation, filled to the gills with "eye candy" as it were, of this iconic classic. Nope. The layout is pretty drab and uninspired, in my opinion. The book is formatted rather small, so the print isn't very large which made it harder for these old eyes to see and read. NO color anywhere in the book excepting for the front cover. There weren't many black and white photos or stills for that matter, either. Last, and most importantly, I didn't find the book very comprehensive nor engaging. Wasn't "bad", but didn't really impress me much either. I admit going into this with some assumptions, but i'm just not that impressed. I regret the purchase

Jaws Revisited
I have to admit that I'm a Jaws freak, especially the first film. This book takes you through a great deal of the details from film one through the last horrible Jaws, the Revenge. There's some intersting trivia and it is a fast read as well. If you like the genere you like this book. The only problem was that when I finished it I immediately had to re-watch the film to find all the nuances and details i had learned from reading the book.

Good but short.
A good book full of great facts but it's far too short. The first film get 70% of the book with the rest just a couple pages each. I felt like this book wasn't quite finished as it would have been nice to see the sequels get as much attentions as the first film which has had many books written about it.

Like a Magazine Version of the JAWS LOG...
Came across this as a fluke while browsing on Amazon-- was thrilled to find another "JAWS" item, and ordered right away. Lots of good stories in this one, and ample space is given to the sequels (and ones that never came to be). The fun parts were the interviews with the "lesser-knowns" who played parts in these films (in front of or behind the cameras). This is a quick read; not a technical or scholarly work (as some of these books are)... Instead, its engrossing yet lightweight. Highly recommended for fans!!
