We had worked our way through the famous five collection, so had to get the secret seven next. Although the world of the secret seven and the famous five is very different to the world my son is growing up in, I think that’s part of the appeal of these stories. I do use some elements of these books as a teaching moments however, particularly around gender equality and how things have changed since the books were written.. for example, washing up and cooking are not women’s jobs etc 😁💪🏻 Review: Classic reading - I had this collection as a child and have now bought the series for my grandson. They are delightful books.
