Both BROKE after 1 day!!!
My daughter bought this for herself for Christmas. After wearing it for one day, just at home, the sliding lightning bolt fell off and she couldn't find it. I had her send me the link and I ordered a new one rather than trying to find and fix the 1st one.The new one arrived yesterday (late, might I add). My daughter wore it today for less than a school day. The lightning bolt is gone. It fell off of the new one too. Do NOT purchase this pin. We are going to try to find a similar one from a different company if we can. I'm having my daughter text me a photo and I'll add it to the review if I can.

Nice for a novelty; practicality depends on your needs
This is a fun pin that is clearly well-made and durable. The enamel is smooth and the colors are bright. The lightning bolt slides mostly smoothly - it tends to get stuck when it's at the far ends, but a little gentle wiggling will set it free.There are two pins, one on each side, and it's a pretty big piece, so make sure you have somewhere to set it. The lightning bolt also slides of its own free will if it's in the middle, so if you put it on a purse or coat, it might end up showing inaccurate data.For myself, I have it on a bulletin board. Sometimes I don't feel up to communicating verbally, and I can slide the lightning bolt so my family knows how I'm feeling at that moment. In that regard, it's a practical communication tool. If you're not in that situation, you might find it fun as a novelty gift.

This pin is well made and gets so many compliments making for a great conversation starter. The lightning bolt moves smoothly across and it has a strong pin to keep it safely attached to any clothing or bag.

Let us all admit as adults, our social batteries during really fast. Especially since COVID-19 hit. I mean come on we miss our 24-hour places. The public is way too peopley! There's no easier way to show our social battery standings then a cute little pen like this. 10 out of 10

The meter breaks too easily
The pin that holds the lighting bolt dropped off immediately after the first time I tried using this. It’s 5* if you just superglue the pin and the backing together.3* for me because I didn’t know this when I bought it, and lost it with the greatest of ease.

Hilarious pin
My daughter loves this pin. She wears it on her clothes and puts it to the appropriate level and then points to it to let us know how sociable she is feeling. It is funny and quite fun for her to use. It is colorful and has a nice weight to it too. Pin is easy to put in place too.
