This ring fits our Dyson SV12 Slim Detect, I did order another (AFDD Dust Bin Top Fixed Sealing Ring Compatible with Dyson V10/SV12 Vacuum Cleaners Accessories, Replacement Part Sealing Ring Assembly Compatible with Dyson Vacuum Bin Part 969509-01) that was way too big even though it includes the SV12 in it's description and had to return it. So just be sure you check the description closely.

I needed to replace the red rubber seal inside where the dirt all goes. It’s all the way in the very back I ordered this replacement part from Amazon and it works great. I recommend it instead of ordering a whole new tube for the vacuum cleaner.

I love that I can get replacement parts for my Dyson V10 bin without having to buy and entire new bin. Sometimes you just need to replace a minor part and you can save money that way. Ideally, I could get just the gasket, but I suppose it's even better to get an entirely new sealing ring. There are no instructions that come with the item, but the Amazon listing does include an instructional video, which in my opinion is even better than written instructions. While the video does make it look pretty easy, ideally you need the addition of a flat prying tool to remove the old sealing ring. This tool is inexpensive and worth having for any kind of electronics repair so I went ahead and got one on Amazon as part of a mobile phone repair kit. That tool made it much easier. That sealing ring was not coming off otherwise no matter how hard I pulled. You need to release those little tabs all around the rim of the bin and the pry tool will safely do that without damaging your dust bin. I recommend checking out the videos available on YouTube that demonstrate this. I found one for the V11, but the bin design is identical to the V10 so it was very helpful.

This part fell out of my dyson v11 one day when emptying the container. This was the perfect replacement part and was super easy to replace. It came with the screwdriver necessary to install also. Great kit and good quality replacement part.
