I like this organic spelt flour in place of whole wheat flour in my bread recipe. It makes a wonderful, hearty loaf!

The descriptive information of this product is rife with errors, but the product is Great! They should correct it. The title states it weighs 5.8 pounds, but the description states in several places that it's 4.8 pounds. And the detail data places the weight at 80oz (why stated in ounces I'll never know... that's 5 pounds even). So we have 4.8#, 5# and 5.8# all in the same product write-up. But wait there's more... If you go to the manufacturers website you can find a different looking bag of the same product (a few dollars close to the same amount), that is clearly stated to be 5.8#.To make a long story short (too late for that now ;), being an inquisitive chap I took a chance and bought the product, both because the quality and origin of the product looked to be one of the best out there, and second, I felt even if it was only 4.8# it was worth the price paid.Happily to say: It arrived as the largest size of all three in the description, in a very secure 5.8 pound bag. So, 5.8 pounds! Yay!

Very fresh and sprouted very quickly!

I have been grinding and using spelt berries for years. I grind the berries into flour and have made pizza dough, scones and waffles, delicious! Be Still spelt berries are top notch! The photo is of cheddar chive scones I made with the fresh spelt flour January 2021. Yum!I ordered another bag. I made gingerbread muffins yesterday using the fresh flour. A few days ago I made blue cheese shortbread (savory and a good appetizer.) Great company, great product!
