Package size is great for caping or smaller families. Rehydrated quickly and was In the pan for browning in bout 10-15 min. Has some light loss of flavor from fresh, but definitely worth it. One package would easily have fed a family of 4 as a stew. I used half for hubby and I still had leftovers. Texture is absolutely great, flavor was 4 stars, amount is sufficient for 4 people.

I’ve used these in stews and stroganoff in my Instapot. They were so tender and flavorful. I’m actually shocked. They taste just like fresh meat. It’s worth the buy if you have any concerns about power outages or emergency, or SHTF situations. Definitely worth the price!!

These look like they will do the trick in an emergency. If you live in the south, be aware that these could expand in the heat. If I had to order these again I would send it to my P.O. Box because I think the heat caused my last package to blow up like a balloon, hopefully that’s not going to impact the quality, but we love the idea of having these just in case

I very rarely leave bad reviews but my concern of the potential health risks to others compells me to do so. This is a RAW freeze dried item so when I received mine and the bag was very bloated with air I had to throw it away. Common sense tells you if you buy milk and the carton is bloated chances are bacteria has already taken hold and drinking it is probably a really bad idea. With this in mind I have to really wonder if the same thing was happening with my very bloated bag of freeze dried raw beef chunks. I have been buying freeze dried food for years and have never had this issue. For the price this shouldn't happen (and you can't send it back). Just my opinion. . .buyer beware.

Good product at reasonable price, easy to store and open when needed. No can to mess with and you can make any recipe just like regular fresh beef. Takes less space.

I was a little hesitant to try this, as my cooking experiences with their FD steaks were all failures. Well...not truly "failures" as I did actually eat them. So there's that. In all honesty, it was probably something lacking in my ability and doing it improperly.The stew meat however? Total 100% success. I mean...amazing!!!I made a slow cooked beef stew with veggies and it was, again, amazing. Definitely an item to keep in one's preps.
