I did not buy this to use as an HT but, as a CROSSBAND Repeater.It sling shots my signals way farther than simplex.I can now talk to my autistic daughter at home when I must go to town. She won't use a cell phone. But she will talk to her little gmrs wakie talkie set up on VOX. No button pushing necessary.So do yourself a favor... Go on and buy two, your gonna want them!

This radio seems to be high quality. However, I cant find a MAC program to change the settings. I looked all over YouTube and did searches for how to program this radio, and it seems that you cant do it with a MAC product.

It’s actually not a digital radio and I wasn’t able to download the software is not compatible, so it had to return it.

I have used these radios for a couple of years and they have held up well. They have much better filtering capabilities than the bafung radios I have. The case has help up well and feels solid in hand.
