This is a far better mechanism than the one originally installed with the cistern. The piston pressing onto the sealing ring is appropriately heavy to create a good contact and just over the rubber ring there is a plastic disk that aid support and hopefully enhance strength to avoid any possible deformation of the seal. Fitting this is straightforward and probably for the first time ever I am truly confident in no water seeping trough the seal. At £19.80 it is on the upper price range compared to most but the quality is surely there
