Must have EDC light
So i was worried about the brightness level when buying this but I bought it as an emergency light or quick use light. For the price I expected a pretty cheap light but its actually very bright even in light conditions and in the dark it is super bright even if the throw is a bit short. Its got a good weight and the ridges are grippy but not rough or painful like some aluminum body flashlights. The magnet is fairly strong for its size and gives a satisfying snap when they go together. The magnets on the flashlight side arent the best but they do stick. I wouldn't rely on them during motion or under heavy vibrations cause they can be knocked loose. I will probably buy a few more of these cause they work well and because of the size you couldn't ask for a better zipper pull. This one is going on my bag. I want one for my car keys and once winter rolls back around I want some for my winter coats. I don't remember seeing it in the description but the usb is a standard full size usb for charging. Be aware that because of the style there is no frame around the connector and could possibly damage the female usb port you plug into by flexing the light. The male end on the flashlight is very rigid and doesnt flex at all so no worries from me for carrying it around by its own plug. Excellent little light for everyday stuff!

Never lose your flashlight again!
I own the Streamlight Microstream, the Olight Seeker 4, and now this Olight Mini 2. They all have their perks but for an EDC, this one is my favorite. I keep my flashlights as handy as possible, but it feels like every time I need one, they’re on the other side of the building or in a different bag. They’re small, but not small enough that I want to keep it in my pocket all the time. I normally wear FR jeans and an FR Henley, so I don’t have a place to clip a flashlight, and as a curvy woman, I don’t wanna have bulky pockets. All I typically carry in my pocket is some cash and a pocket knife. Another problem I have with almost all of my possessions is that I’ll use something and then set it down and then the next time I need it I forgot where the heck I put it. The Mini 2 solves this problem for me. The way this flashlight works is while it’s attached to the magnet, it’s off. In order to use it all you have to do is detach it from the magnet and it turns on. In order to turn it off you must reattach it to the magnet. By attaching the magnet to my belt loop with the included carabiner style hook (it’s meant to be a keychain), I never lose this thing. it’s ironic because it’s so tiny that you would think it would be easy to lose. But nope! it’s always on my hip when I need it, and I never forget to reattach it because that’s how you turn it off! It has earned a spot as a nightly charge, and I grab it every morning along with my pocket knife. No, it doesn’t have the brightness of my other two flashlights but it’s just fine for my needs. If I need more brightness, I’ll fetch my Seeker 4.For less than 15 bucks, you really can’t go wrong with this one.

Convient flashlight that doesn't get lost in the pockets and doesn't require all the button pushing!
Excellent flashlight! it has two parts, the charger with the usb plug and the flashlight which goes onto/in the end. the two pieces are held together with magnets, which allows for a super easy light saber quick type draw if the unit is hung from the belt. It's built in such a way that the light part will not come off accidentally. I tried and failed to flick the light off and tried to push the light off with just my thumb and it will not accidentally come off under any kind of normal activities while hanging off a belt. it's quite bright considering how tiny the unit it. it has no buttons whatever and comes on when pulled from the charger part and is turned off by reconnecting the two. They reconnect with extreme ease as the way the charger part is built and the two magnets just pull them together. it's easy to snap them together without looking. The carabiner that comes with it is designed to hook on a key chain so needs an additional and not included part (like another carabiner) to hook it to the belt loop. a double ended carabiner would have been better.as it has no buttons, it's on or it's off. there is no pressing the button 2 to 6 times to get it all the way on (a GOOD thing!)With its quick draw capability and its small size, a most excellent flashlight!

Substantially Better Than Expected!
Thought it wasn't going to be bright enough for what I needed, but surprisingly satisfied when I turned it on. I think the luminosity is higher than what the product literature states. Magnet is strong. Very strong! I'm thinking about taking a similar size button magnet and gluing it to my eyeglass frames so I can pop it in there for hands free operation. If you have a pacemaker, better check for safety if you plan on wearing this around your neck like I do. The integrated USB charging is so, so nice. Has small LEDs red and green for charging status.Did I mention the magnet is strong? The light will not fall out as it seats deeply into the receiver. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to turn it on without pulling it off the receiver.
