All I can say is its a good job they supply you with 20 screws as you'll wreck 12 to get 8 in, even after drilling slightly oversize into the body. Use most as as sacrifical screws before you use another 8 to fix the pup. I couldn't get the springs into the small cavities of a jazz bass so had to make do with thick rubber glued to the bottom of the pup. Even with this method it was a real effort to get the pup height correct without wrecking the remaining screws.I bough these on the back of some of the good reviews, but in all honesty I read a lot of bad reviews on the quality of the heads so I took a punt anyway.The problem is these seem to be in the 'best of the worst' section, I can't find anything on Amazon that people seem overwhelmingly happy with.

If you know what these are I guess all you need to know is they are of good enough quality to be usable and they are machined to a good standard. For the price you’re not getting a high end product but for the majority of users absolutely no issues.

I purchased these to retrofit some Seymour Duncan pickups to my Squier 'Classic Vibe' Precision and they were perfect for the job.

I only needed a few, but for the price, I didn’t mind keeping the rest as spares! Worked like a charm and got the broken pickups on my bass in working order again.

Unlike some of the screws supplied with aftermarket pickups, which "chew" easily, these are tough, and in my experience can be mounted into quite small pilot holes into dense timbers like mahogany with relative ease.The threads are sharp, providing good "self-tapping".I'd certainly recommend, based on recent experience with two bass builds.
