Does the dollhouse need to be assembled?

Yes. Everything in the dollhouse kit needs to be assembled. Patience is the key to finish the assembly. You will feel a sense of accomplishment when finish the product.:)

Are tools(scissors, tweezers, glue) and batteries included in the package?

Sorry that the tools and 3 x batteries are not included in the package, you need to prepare them before assembling the dollhouse.
