These plastic mats are stiff, durable and thick. However size choice extremely limited and because they angle out getting the right size is hard. Read other reviews about size before you buy. I bought these for several bathrooms, a kitchen and a broom closet to protect new paint and the wood cabinets. However I had to cut most to fit. In the kitchen someone working under the sink accidently loosen the new garbage disposal and when the sink was used water went everywhere. The mat was cut to fit only across the front so the cabinet doors would close but the water went under the mat so it didn't protect the cabinet, in fact, it kept the water against the painted cabinet and it had to be repainted despite finding the problem in a couple hours. So if you have to cut it to fit, it will not protect against water but will protect against scuffs, scratches and stains. I think a flexible rubber mat would be better and easier to install. It's a lot of money for a plastic mat.

I love this mat. When I first bought my new home, I knew I wanted something under my kitchen sink to protect the cabinet from any potential water leaks. This fit my cabinet pretty well with only a small gap between the front of mat and my cabinet. It was super easy to install and I didn't have to do any trimming. It has already been a life saver. If you are unsure about which size to get, measure your cabinet and then contact the Xtreme customer service number listed on their website and they will help you choose the right mat. I spoken with their customer service and they provide excellent service.Why is this a life saver? So one night we had used the garbage disposal a lot and we had no idea that the vibrations from running the disposal had caused one of the pipe fittings to come lose, therefore letting any running water leak out onto the bottom of the cabinet. Fortunately, the mat was there because it caught all of the water. We had a good bit of water sitting in the mat and because the sides of the mat were raised, none of it got into the cabinet. All we had to do was remove all of our stuff we were storing on top of the mat and then take a towel to wipe up all of the water and make sure the mat was dry again. Super easy cleanup.Although the mat's price seems kind of high, it is worth every penny. It's a high quality mat that gives me confidence that it will catch and hold the water in the event of a leak. And if you purchase a water sensor, the mat has a small circle area in the back of the mat made for you to place a water sensor and you will be alerted when it detects water. If you have a major leak under your cabinet that you don't discover right away, imagine the cost to repair or replace the wood and get rid of the mold. Don't waste your time on the cheaper cloth liners that will only attempt to absorb the water and potentially harbor mold.

Super quick and easy installation even with a center stile. It would have taken about 2 minutes to install if I didn't have to cut a curve along the back to accommodate the low, sewer clean-out for this island sink. Used a utility knife to cut the curve along the back curved lip (see photo). It will take much more time and skill to cut the white dome cover that screws into the clean-out. But, if done well, it could help keep water from seeping over this low spot. This mat is flexible enough to curve into place, yet rigid enough to hold its tray shape (see photo). It also fit exactly in my standard 36" cabinet (33-3/8" wide x 21-1/2" deep).

Fun times having oral surgery during a pandemic and walking into the kitchen after a bunch of nitrous oxide and who knows what else only to feel my socks get soaking wet. Slightly confused as my pain was also setting in, I finally realized water leaked from pipes under my kitchen sink and soaked the particle board bottom of the cabinet as well as part of the floor.As I iced my face with one hand and emptied the cabinet with the other, I tossed everything that was totally soaked and took the logical next step - - took a very long nap. After, I ordered this mat as the cabinet was drying out as it looked awful and I’m sure it wouldn’t have been so damaged if I had his mat when the leak occurred as the mat is thick and sturdy with a raised rim all the way around.I'm more prepared if it leaks again, and the mat is a great addition as it looks good in grey and hides the ugly stained particle board. Plus, it’s so much better as I can routinely wipe or wash off any drips or grime that get on the mat. For size, I picked the mat that matched the internal bottom measurement. The fit is spot on. While I couldn't slide the mat straight in due to wood front and center, it was super easy to put it inside as the mat is just flexible enough that I could angle it in and slightly bend it to get it inside.The mat arrived with no funky odor, and my cabinet looks nice and clean inside. The mat doesn’t cut into my cabinet space due to the good fit, and items can be placed right on the mat. I did buy a couple plastic baskets that I could fill in a way so they fit under the pipes and disposal. It’s all way more organized, fresher looking, can be easily cleaned and the mat will provide some protection from leaks. I almost went with a cheaper mat to save money, but the quality of this one is great and it should last indefinitely. Love it. 5 stars.

This may worked great under my sink.Flexible to get under sink. Had to cut to place around pipes and sealed with silicone.Would buy this again for under bathroom sinks

Good product. Still have to figure out how to change the shape to accommodate water pipes coming out from the bottom of the cabinet.Overpriced a bit...
