I love these swim shorts! They're durable and have a panty type liner in them. They are true to size and the waistband is really comfortable...not too tight but just snug enough that they won't slide down when in water. I lap swim but I purchased these for some upcoming beachy type trips that we have planned. I usually wear an XXL, or 18W. I ordered an XXL in these and they fit perfectly! I'm 5'6" and weigh 215 lbs. I love the little side pockets, although I do wish they had one zipper pocket. Overall, a really great swim short!

Love these shorts for wearing over my one piece for aquatherapy. The pockets are also nice for keeping your phone in while they're still dry. I wear them twice, rinsing the chlorine out with cold water each time, before putting them in the wash inside-outted on delicate and have seen no decrease in quality by doing so. If you use them in the pool and lean or rub against the rough pool wall or have them rubbing against other fabrics frequently, like in a gym bag, this WILL damage the fabric, just like any other swimsuit. My hips are 38", height is 5'3.5", and I got the 9" inseam and they are super comfortable and fit perfectly with no riding up.

These shorts are perfect! They fit just right around my waist and thighs, and they feel so sleek. I absolutely love the pockets on both sides and the color is true black. The length is short enough to look good with my tankini top but also long enough so I feel very comfortable wearing them.

OK, they will not turn heads but they cover all necessary areas. The fabric is comfortable not thick or heavy and offers some support around tummy and thighs but not restrictive. My only complaint seams are visible on outside of garment which makes them look like their inside out. Plus benefit is the inner panty; it feels silky against your skin. I am 5' 7'' and 240 lbs size 3xl.

They fit great and are comfortable. Dries quickly.

Have only tried them on as I just received them. I won’t be using them for a couple of weeks, so I’ll update my review if anything changes my opinion. I’m 5’7” and the 7” inseam (think Bermuda shorts / short capris length) is the perfect length for me. They come to about 2” above my knees. They have a high waist band like bike shorts that comes to my belly button. I have 42” hips and 36”-37” waist and XL was my recommend size from Amazon based on my height and weight and they fit great. They are form fitting without feeling restrictive, which is a plus for me. I feel like the waist measurements on the size chart are more accurate than the hip measurements, so I would trust the recommended size, especially if you are getting these for swimming only. I like that there is an attached panty/liner made of the same material. I did find it strange there is a seam (see image with red circle) in the middle of the panty, but the stitching is on the non body touching side and I didn’t notice it while wearing it. Just an odd design choice in my opinion. The material feels great & there is a key pocket on the inside of the back of the waistband. The material does wrinkle around the crotch area, which isn’t the most flattering, but it is what it is and I’ll have to see what it looks like after getting wet. I got these because 1) they are UPF 50 and I am fair skinned with a history of skin cancer 2) I will be using them in a public pool setting on vacation, so it’s a bit more conservative than my flowy skirt like swim shorts 3) for when we heat up the spa at home I won’t have to worry about the air blower making my shorts fly up

I purchased these for a cruise trip to wear with different swimsuit tops and I loved them. They fit perfectly and even had little pockets that would keep my card in for the swimup bar. Definitely would buy again!

I chose Hodosport because I have a short sleeve sun shirt that I am very happy with. Unfortunately, I will be returning these board shorts. The small size seems to fit comfortably for my 119 lb. slender build but the material is very thin and seems to be made of an inferior material when compared to another brand that I have on hand. I will be conducting water work in these shorts and need a material that will hold up. I will be ordering the other brand, if they have my size, even if it means I have to choose another color. These shorts may work perfectly for someone else who will not be sliding on and off platforms.
